An inviting, cocooning atmosphere
RESTAURANT Not far from Morteau and the Swiss border, this restaurant is an ambassador for good taste, à la française. First for its natural, smart surroundings (made of fine materials, very elegant tables and beautiful flower arrangements), then for the quality of the Chef’s cuisine, who took over and modernised this family business a few years ago. You’ll love the serene, opulent atmosphere and the hospitality (with the chef’s wife in charge) just as much as the elaborate, contemporary and beautifully crafted food. The produce is mainly, but not exclusively, regional. Unusual flavours are combined to afford subtle, tasty experiences like hake in home-grown lemon balm and trumpet courgettes cooked to perfection. The desserts are also well worth a mention, continuing in this creative and aesthetic vein with fresh melon with soft almond calisson sweets. Excellent welcome. Room with old-world charm but all modern comforts. Excellent food. On a business trip, I will return personally to introduce my wife to this place and this cuisine, both refined and flavorful.
Perfect value for money. Just that the beds were very soft.
We spent 4 very pleasant nights with a very warm and helpful welcome. The restaurant is worth the detour even with half board. The menu is sensational and don't forget the region...magnificent

Very nice, well-maintained establishment. It's a pleasant place to stay. The meals are magnificent thanks to the chef's cuisine. However, the sommelier doesn't come to refill glasses like he does in other prestigious restaurants... Too bad!
The hotel is very good. The only problem is the very noisy car traffic from early in the morning...
No parking, bathroom with a bathtub that is too small and without a protective glass, water gets everywhere. Otherwise, decent services, very good breakfast and very friendly staff.
Very nice experience but I had booked half board and I was charged for breakfast in addition.... even though it is not mentioned anywhere on your site that half board only concerns the evening meal.

Nice hotel with a really good restaurant. However, the room service sometimes left something to be desired.
Very mixed stay. Several cleanliness issues in the room (unclean floor, marks on the toilet, stained ceiling, unclean toothbrush holder). Empty soap dispenser in the shower. Unfortunately, the quality of the restaurant meal is not enough to recommend this accommodation.

Very good restaurant, decent room although a little expensive without air conditioning and overlooking the street. Poor breakfast and poorly served.
Ideally placed for a one night stay where we joined the Saut de Daubs dinner cruise just 5 minutes away by foot. The staff are professional and welcoming.
The restaurant lunch menu was amazing including the high level of the table service.

I was very well received, it's a shame the Wi-Fi didn't work. The checkout could have been more "friendly" - a simple "thank you, goodbye" always has an effect ;)
Comfort, very welcoming, relaxing, well located and very good restaurant
The shower in the occupied bedroom needs a new showerhead and a bathtub glass to avoid creating a pool in the bathroom.
Several points to improve: shower product completely empty upon arrival, no more bread, jam, eggs, etc. at breakfast at 9:45 a.m. But the main thing is that this hotel was chosen to benefit from the wellness area which is actually independent: several telephone messages to this organization without any reminder and does not work on Sundays so no point in coming here on a Sunday to take advantage of this asset. On the other hand, an excellent meal in the evening, the "sens" concept is very original and perfectly orchestrated. Fantastic quality, a real moment of pleasure and happiness at the table.
We arrived at 8pm and found the main gate locked. Luckily we found the gate at the back of the establishment which had an emergency number on it. Everything was then ready and suited us perfectly.

Very good restaurant!! People who really listen to you and are at your service, well done. But the next morning, the people at breakfast changed and there was the complete opposite, almost rude! Really a shame
During my stay, I was greeted by interns who lacked the necessary skills. Breakfast couldn't be served until a quarter to 8:00, but the room was comfortable and clean.
The rooms could do with a good makeover (pillows, mattresses, decor) and especially a new cleaning service. You absolutely have to go to the restaurant which is exceptional. Too bad the breakfast is not the same, two rooms, two atmospheres. The hotel is well located near the Doubs.

An aging hotel, lots of small details that jump out at you and that clash with the standing of the reception hall and the restaurant (unscrewed door handle rosette in the bathroom, cobwebs, the 2 cupboard doors that don't close, crystallized sugar in the bags, stagnant water in the kettle, only 1 roll of toilet paper, the presence of a sauna announced on the website but broken, 1 light bulb and the hair dryer that don't work in the bathroom but above all, poor soundproofing... we witnessed in spite of ourselves everything that was happening in the room above...) Positive points: comfortable bedding and friendly welcome.

Relatively disappointed, report on arrival of an empty box of chips and bottle cap in the cupboard. Empty shower gel... discovered when waking up in the morning. And to finish, a hair in the jam at breakfast. A commercial gesture on breakfasts was made, but that's a lot for a first experience in this Hotel. Being from the region, visiting Villers-le-lac for the weekend.
The Zleep Hotel team takes great care of its guests. The hotel is clean and very comfortable with a refined and practical layout. Ideal for business trips and/or corporate seminars. I slept very well during my stay.

Very friendly staff, very nice setting. However the room was not 100% spotless and the soundproofing was very poor (we heard EVERYTHING about the couple in the next room, by the way, well done champion, you gave it your all!) So good but could be improved.

Very busy road right under our windows. The whole family was woken up at 5am by the noise of very noisy traffic despite the closed windows. Insufficient quality of glazing, it's a shame. For the rest, spacious and pleasant family room.

Ein Schmuckes Hotel in Mitten von Villars-le-lac. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll eingerichtet, leider staut sich die Wärme im Zimmer. Wir fanden es zu warm, trotz laufendem Ventilator. Das Essen im Restaurant war hervorragend. Der Service könnte präsenter sein, wir musste um Schluss lange warten, um noch was zu bestellen.

The room was comfortable and very clean. Electronic reception (have your phone handy). Parking is nearby but with parking disc. Please note the restaurant is closed on Sundays.
Very nice establishment
Room not very clean, bathroom trash can not emptied and the sheets smelled like laundry that was not very dry, musty...damp. Very poor bedding, soft mattress. No socket near the bed. Finally only one tea bag offered and provided, a Lipton Earl Gray bag! We've seen better...finally, what's the idea of putting bells on key rings?!?

A moment out of time! The decoration of the rooms and the restaurant is modern but warm. We are welcomed with a smile. Breakfast is very varied with Comté, Morteau sausage, and lots of local products, honey from the shelf, yogurts and local fruit juices. As for the restaurant, the prices are very reasonable in relation to the creativity and quality of the cuisine. The Doubs jump is also worth the trip. In summary, an excellent establishment and a very good stay for us.

Arrived on a wintry night in pouring rain. As soon as you enter the doors of the Hôtel de France, you feel warmth, comfort and a myriad of bottles of Bas-Armagnac, as if the absent sun of the day had crystallized its rays in these bottles. A clean, cozy, quiet room, the obviously loving Chef delighted my taste buds, the welcoming and sincere room staff, a wine list at very reasonable prices and above all the Mistress of the place who nourished my soul with her mastery letters, looking forward to reading his chromatic work
