70 years of history are not so easily erased.
Ten large rooms have been re-dressed in their original clothes. Tapestries, fabrics, chandeliers, antique furniture.
The rooms inhabited by Charles Ritz, all on the river side, are particularly worthy of this period... A "four star" hotel from 1935...!
About Charles Ritz, who was undoubtedly one of the most famous guests of the Gervais house, was more than an ace or a pioneer of dry fly fishing.
He was an amateur, a great amateur and an authority.
The most beautiful rivers in the world flowed in his veins.
He used to come here to the Hotel Gervais to try out his famous parabolic rods which he designed and made from split bamboo at Pezon et Michel in Amboise.
The access to the rooms, all on the first floor, is a majestic staircase of the XVIIIth century, extended by a huge and wide corridor with parquet floor.

Very friendly and professional personnel.
We were welcomed and accompanied to our rooms by a very friendly employee who was prompt to give us advice and recommendations.
We also had super there and the food was excellent.
Breakfast is home made and built to order.
Wifi connection is much better than usual hotels.

Breakfast simple but high quality, served without plastic or individual packaging, quiet location right on the river. Very good mattresses! The hotel is suitable for people who appreciate quality and a simple but high-quality traditional style. No TV, but we didn't miss that at all. Less is more!

An exceptional welcome from the staff and the management, the magnificent setting in a preserved 1900 style on the banks of the Loue, an exceptional chef, these are all the ingredients for a dream stay, we are thinking of coming back very soon out of season .thanks again to the team.
