The room was very poorly soundproofed, the bed was sagging, and the shower was tiny. The hotel was clean and well located, and the staff were very welcoming.
Since there was no elevator, the receptionist kindly carried my luggage up to the 2nd floor and to my room.
Warm welcome from all the staff. Very well located with car parking. We will come back.
The hotel is about as quaint and charming as any hotel I have ever stayed in. It is very reasonably priced and the staff is extremely accommodating. If you are staying in Amboise, recommend this hotel and what's even better is the location which is simply perfect.

What more can I say?
Old-fashioned room and in particular a bathroom not worthy of a 3-star hotel. (small and smells of pipes) The whole place was however clean and the bedding of good quality except for the sheets which were not very pleasant to the touch. Room facing the street was noisy. Breakfast was adequate. Availability of a refrigerator was much appreciated. Services not up to the asking price. Fortunately, the hotel is very well located (right in the center) and the welcome was of high quality.
This was a terrific hotel in a very good area. Very short stroll to see the Château and the little shops in downtown pedestrian area. Very friendly staff very knowledgeable. The bonus was the parking which is secure and had a minimal charge. Would recommend this to any friends and family traveling in this area. One note is that this hotel is not handicapped accessible, it was a walk up to our rooms, which was fine for us, but if someone has mobility issues, you may want to check with the hotel directly.

It is a petit and molt deixat hotel from the mother of Déu! The room you choose to donate is not the same as the one that supplies the website, but also the same as the other room. The little llit, with some rare fillings (with a very uncomfortable rough gravel, just like the coixí). The matalàs brut! The small bathroom and little room. Sort that the air conditioner does work (a point for them). Wow, it was just a night!!!

Froid, mépris, manque total de professionnalisme: c'est inadmissible pour un établissement qui pretend to offer un bon service. When we arrive, our news is accueillis with a hostility to a dissimulated comb, as if our simple presence is released. Aucune écoute, aucun effort pour aider, un ton condescendant et des remarques totallyement déplacees. Ce genre de behavior est inacceptable dans l'hôtellerie, où l'accueil et le respect du client devraient être des priorités. I gave strong advice to the hotel. Il ne suffit pas d'avoir des chambres propres si l'humain est traité avec autant de mépris. An urgent training in relation to client s'impose, or a changement of personnel.

They stated they had parking. What they mean is they have 4 spaces. You'll need to park down by the river. I requested a refund and said I'd go somewhere else where I can park. They refused. Apparently, you must ask for parking far in advance. Of course, there's still only a few spots. So there's no guarantee of parking. There was an air conditioner above the door but no way to access it. This place is also extremely noisy. I cannot recommend it
A solid budget choice. Friendly reception, secure room for 20+ bikes, even electric outlets for e-bikes.
We opted for the smallest room. Yes, our room was small but was super clean and had everything we needed, even a water kettle, tea and coffee. An added bonus : the bathroom has a window that can be opened (room #1). There are several cozy sitting areas on ground floor and private nooks. A bar open till 9, and books and games too. Was saw a modern AC unit in our room but, of course, now in march, we were interested in the heat....Location is 10+.....

When booking my room, I asked to reserve two dinners in the hotel restaurant. No email to confirm or not the reservation, especially since the restaurant is closed on Sundays. Clear lack of communication with guests. Very basic presentation of the hotel upon our arrival. Hotel without a soul. Canned fruit salad for breakfast.

I was concerned with the language barrier, but got lucky with a very helpful English speaker. The breakfast spread was amazing and had numerous offerings. My only issue was some minor late night noise. Possibly old pipes or perhaps noisy neighbors in room 7 or hallway?

Noisy hotel from the outside, breakfast a little poor in the choice of foods.
When booking by phone, my arrival announced by me at 8:00 p.m., I was told that a stopover evening would not be possible because an arrival 15 minutes earlier is imperative! I was also told that if I want to benefit from the best rate, I have to do it on the website and not by phone! Next time I will go through Booking! When I arrive, while I have already paid on the website for night and breakfast, they try to charge me again for breakfast as an extra! Bad night due to the noise level caused by cars passing under the poorly insulated windows. In the morning, only one towel to wash! The reception calls me in the morning to find out if I did not leave with the towels: who are they kidding?
As in a number of hotels, the price of breakfast is expensive (13.5 euros).

Very pleasant welcome, good bedding, appreciable calm, good breakfast. The downside is the bathroom and the toilets but these are details that the rest makes you forget. Do not hesitate to book. Enjoy your stay in this hotel.

Very beautiful and kind hotel 🏨 in the center of Amboise
Our room was on the top floor and we hadn’t been warned of this. Difficult to climb stairs as we are very elderly. The room was very small.. very useful to have a secure garage nearby.

Given the price of the night, we were disappointed with the hotel's services... The bedding is not comfortable. The window directly overlooks other rooms in the hotel but offers no view. The smell of the bathroom leaves something to be desired. The hotel bar, which is very well decorated, closes at 8 p.m. However, there are also good points: the welcome is pleasant and the geographical location is very interesting.
Finally a hotel that really welcomes cyclists with a real room, sockets for recharging electric bikes and even a refrigerator to keep drinks cool for the next day.

The hotel is in a good location in Amboise. It is very close and easy walking distance to the Loire river and downtown sites in Amboise. The staff could not have been friendlier. It's not a fancy hotel, but for the price the rooms were clean and comfortable and had a good European breakfast.

Heartwarming welcome. Lovely clean quiet hotel, tasty breakfast. Possibility of going to eat at the Voltaire restaurant where the welcome is just as charming and where you eat very good food at a very reasonable price. The possibility of parking your car nearby is a real plus.
