A beautiful place, a little out of time. We appreciated the welcome, the breakfast, and the pleasant setting.

Lovely building and staff. Room clean and comfortable but at this price I’d expect bottles of water and nice bathroom products. Breakfast pricy too. Good to have climate control but why can’t guests set temperature - we like a cold room so had to open windows in October - and got bitten!!

I had a great stay at this hotel. The staff was particularly kind, welcoming, and attentive throughout my stay. You immediately feel at ease, almost like you're at home. The decor is pretty, neat, and tastefully done, which makes the place even more welcoming. A great place that I recommend without hesitation!

Lovely stay. Hugely friendly staff who provided a great welcome with information of local town and where to go for our short one night stay. Decor a little dated but charming hotel, would recommend.

We arrived to this hotel at about 4pm and were shown to our room . Upon entering we noticed a strong gaseous smell in the room similar to stagnant water . We went to reception and waited until a staff member came to the room . He told us that this was an issue with the Air conditioning and that they had 1 other room available but that it had the same issue . He suggested turning off the A/C and leaving the window open . This was not acceptable as the hotel is on the roadside and the weather was touching 30 degrees.
We then asked for the reservation to be cancelled as we could not stay there. It was when we asked for this that the receptionist (Ishmael ) became agrressive and rude and insulting. He told us this was not possible as the owner was away out of the country on holidays and could only do this when he came back next week and we could either stay or leave , he did not care. We contacted Booking.com while we were there and he confirmed that this was a systemic problem with the A/C in that wing but could not refund us without the owners consent. We left feeling very poorly treated . The hotel itself looks beautiful from the outside but is very shoddy and tired. The lack of staff was shocking as Ishmael was the only staff member we saw during the 1.5 hour check in debacle.
The owner subsequently contacted Booking.com and lied throughout the entire conversation. He condescendingly said that the smell was not gas but essential oils and that we could not tell the difference between the two and that there was no issue with the A/C and that my wife was shouting and causing a scene at the desk with all the staff (???) and customers. He then said that he would 'magically' be there in the morning ( not on holiday for another week!!! ) .
I feel that the owner and staff should accept the issues and deal with them professionally. The hospitality industry is not for everyone and perhaps this owner should look for another profession as, abusing customers and lying are not part of the job description for hoteliers. All of the above can be verified with the booking.com customer support team should the owner reply with more defensive rhetoric.

Very nice hotel with a good location and a wonderful relationship quality/price

Het ziet er mooi uit van buiten en het parkeren is ideaal zo op die binnenplaats.
Wij hadden een familiekamer maar ik vond de sfeer niet helemaal fris. De kamer rook muf, naar een 17-eeuws kasteel :).
De kamer is donker en bedompt. We misten ook echt een waterkoker of koffieapparaat of een koelkastje.
Er zijn verder weinig extra’s. Badkamer verder oké, het personeel ook.
We hadden geen ontbijt dus die service kan ik niet beoordelen.
Ik zou bij een volgend bezoek aan Beaune aan ander hotel proberen.

Magnificent stay in a beautiful setting

Room was large and clean and the bed was reasonably comfortable. There were no tea or coffee making facilities which was disappointing and the room decor was a bit dull.

Good service, friendly, but nothing extraordinary for the price paid. However, note the very pretty exterior. We had a room on the second floor with non-adjustable air conditioning, just on/off, not very practical.

The hotel is full of charm and everywhere was spotlessly clean. It is very close to the centre by foot and the parking is great. Really enjoyed our stay here.

For the price, the rooms were very dated! Dangerous bath tubs, very slippery surfaces, old beds with worn mattresses, and breakfast wasn't included.

Hotel full of old-world charm, excellent location.

It’s a beautiful, historical building that is well located in Beaune. Staff are very friendly and the courtyard is a fantastic place to read as it catches the sun for most of the day. It would be nice if guests were allowed to use the inside part of the terrace during the day if it is raining rather than being stuck in the stuffy rooms or bars (I was told I could not and that it was for breakfast only, despite there seemingly to be no reason why I couldn’t sit there with a book and a coffee).

The accommodation inside is dated and appears to be showing its age. For example, the AC units didn’t have a control in my room and couldn’t be manually changed. Whilst it did work it was pretty noisy and would make spluttering noises randomly in the night. The chain on my bathroom toilet kept getting stuck which meant I had the sound of the toilet refilling for most of the day when I was in the room (it would randomly stop). It would be good to add proper soap dispensers to bathrooms to modernise them rather than a hand bar of soap for washing hands. A kettle in the room would also be a good experience. Generally, the hotel lacked the little details (the charging sockets next to the bed being on the floor and difficult to reach for example).

Staff were super friendly and the price of coffee from the bar was very reasonable.

The breakfast is complete with fresh produce. The location is ideal, a 5-minute walk from the Hospices de Beaune. Parking is available in the interior courtyard.

Feels like a well run, traditional French hotel that puts service first. Quick walk to town centre & all sites you may want to visit. Secure parking on premises. Attractive accommodation. And PROPER freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast alongside all the pastries and cooked egg options you can think of.

Not great. Good location, clean, and helpfull staff. But very poorly equiped, and hotel is smelly due too poor ventilation of kitchen. Very mean breakfast and offerings. Bring your own shampoo and toiletpaper. Due to the added extras far too expensive for what it is.

The location is a stone's throw from the center, parking is available, the accommodation has the charm of the Belle Époque, the room is clean, and the staff is very welcoming, polite, and pleasant. This is what we look for during our stays. The only downside was the hardness of the mattress. It's really very rare that this bothers us so much.

The staff and service was excellent. Our "comfort room" was great. We loved the courtyard. Would stay here again.

We have stayed in this hotel several times and find everything excellent. It is also very convenient for the centre of Beaune.

I am deeply disappointed by the quality of the service at the Belle Époque Hotel. I admit that I made a mistake by forgetting to cancel my reservation, and I acknowledge my responsibility in this regard. That same evening, the reception called me to ask me what time I would arrive. I explained to them that I would not be coming and that I was sincerely sorry for forgetting to cancel. However, I had not received any reminder email, unlike what other hotels usually do, which notify the day before, the day before or the same day to remind people to cancel if necessary. The lady on the phone, very kind, told me that she would consult her manager and that she would call me back to inform me of the decision: whether I would be charged for everything, part of it, or nothing at all. I would have perfectly understood if they had charged me for part of the stay. But, to my great surprise, they charged me for the entire amount, i.e. two rooms that I had never set foot in. I find this decision very average, even if I understand the need to charge for unsold rooms. So it is a very disappointing experience.

Breakfast disappointing, with a boulangerie at 20 metres from the hotel, it would have been agreeable to have fresh products rather than the semi industrial products.

Beautiful hotel very close to the centre of Beaune

We were pleased with the friendly staff, nice rooms and possibility to charge the electric car. But the repeated power outages during our stay were annoying. If anything similar happens the next time, you might consider a small gesture like removing parking, breakfast or a drink at the bar from the hotel bill.

Charging my car didn't work out well. 20 euro's for 20 kwh is a bit expensive

Since this time we were only staying one night, we booked a standard double room. Next time, we’ll try one with a bigger bed. A choice of pillows would also have been nice… I invariably find that the pillow supplied is too thick! The breakfast was excellent, with freshly-pressed orange juice and perfectly-cooked eggs

Beautiful building, good welcome, good breakfast. Very appreciated parking 2 steps from the city center But ..... Comfort room n ° 23. The room is not up to the expected standard. 2nd floor without elevator in the attic overlooking the street. Very little comfort. No tea and coffee making facilities No fridge No adjustable air conditioning No furniture to store in the bathroom. No bedside lamp. Beautiful furniture without decoration, rigid and cold atmosphere. No touch of color, we thought we were in an antiques hall. Very very dark, no blackout curtains. Very little light. Not possible to stand at the window and look out onto the street. In short, bad experience. Maybe better rooms in the park.

We will come back!

We have stayed many times over twenty year ( in fact I first came in 1976) and it seems the hotel is failing to invest. The “new rooms” are feeling dated and whilst large leave you underwhelmed. It’s big benefit is proximity to the town centre and secure parking when stopping with a full car enroute to another deditination.

Ideally situated close to Beaune centre with private secure off street parking. Very welcoming staff who do their best to help you. Rooms comfortable and have all your needs. Very well managed by an on hands manager who takes his time to welcome guests and chat to them. I’ve been staying there for over 12 years. Highly recommended

Great little hotel, staff were very friendly and having its own secure car park was the thing for us. Accommodation looked newly refurbished and the breakfasts were spot on. We will definitely be rebooking for our next trip to Burgundy and the south.

Very nice hotel, very close to the center with friendly and welcoming staff. I would have just liked to have a small fridge in my very large room with living room (35m²), a more efficient shower head and especially on a slide. The sails on the windows were too rococo for me (obviously, the other rooms were equipped differently). The breakfast is very good. You should not hesitate to ask for even what is not offered to you automatically. A small menu of what is available would perhaps be a good idea. The rolls are, in my opinion too hard, but good to taste. In short: very happy with our stay apart from a few points which for me are only details.

Over het algemeen een goed hotel met een goede prijs/kwaliteitverhouding. Op de kamer zou de aanwezigheid van zakdoekjes en evt. de mogelijkheid om koffie/thee te zetten zou een verbetering zijn. Het ontbijt was zeer goed, alleen was de koffie eerder lauw. Mocht zeker warmer geweest zijn.

This is my second stay at the hotel. Thoroughly happy with the hotel. Friendly staff, clean rooms and pretty courtyard. All in all, great experience. Reception staff, Kevin, charming and helpful.

The hotel is typical, ideally located a few minutes walk from the city center. We were able to benefit from a location for the motorcycle. The staff was attentive and pleasant. The room had a large comfortable bed, a bathtub, a shower and a toilet. Breakfast was served on the terrace, at the table. It was very pleasant.

Hôtel très mignon proche du centre.

Well placed standard room small but functional although pipe noise. Basic breakfast. However, shocked by the lack of respect of a hotel employee in the breakfast kitchen who, when questioned by a foreign customer where to sit for breakfast, made a very vulgar remark after his departure completely free of charge. Finally the bathtub could have been cleaner and a vacuum cleaner passed under the bed

Wasnt thrilled we arrived aerly on a VERY HOT HUMID day but couldnt have our room early. Yet when we left at 8.45 am they were cleaning our room as we left!!! So i dont believe the room wasnt ready. So by time we got into our room i felt sick from humidity.

The headboard wasn't fixed to the bed. Every time we turned in our sleep the other one was awoken because of the noise it made against the wall. The bath had a dirty shower curtain. We couldn't manage the air conditioning. It was either on or off. The girl at the reception reacted very strangely the morning after.

We stopped off in Beaune and we are delighted with our stay in this really charming hotel, very well located, quiet and close to the city center. Parking is very easy to access. We were made very welcome upon our arrival; Very clean and comfortable accommodation, attentive staff. (Small improvement possible: a small fridge in the room and blackout curtains.) The breakfast served at the table is also very good. We highly recommend this hotel!

Very friendly and family feeling. Relaxed but attentive. Often it seems like nobody is there at bar or reception but from somewhere they quickly appear! The rooms are very comfortable and old-school. Super bed, shower, furnishings. The lighting is a bit old-school too but it comes a bit with the authentic nature of the place. Great location, just 50m or so from the old walls of Beaune.
Would be nice to have e.g. a coffee facility in the room.

A wonderful hotel with a nice, quiet room in a great location. The service was impeccable, too. Too bad I only stayed for one night. Next time it will be longer.

We appreciated this place very much. What we want to criticize are the paper cups containing plastic and their wrapping in plastic bags in the bathroom. This shouldn't be any more. There were no water glasses available in the room. Many other places in the same category offer some water, sometimes a water kettle or a coffee maker.

Door het gebruik van overheersend sterk geurende schoonmaalmiddelen/wasparfums op de door ons gereseveerde kamer hebben wij niet kunnen overnachten en zijn na het inchecken weer meteen vertrokken.
De ontvangst was overigens uitstekend en de kamer zag er perfect uit.
Voor iedereen voor wie de geur geen probleem is, een perfecte keuze.

I arrived at the hotel around 10:30 p.m. in my room it was very hot and the air conditioning didn't work 😡😡I wanted to get out of this hotel but it was difficult to find a taxi around 11 p.m. in Beaune. On the other hand, the night watchman is quite nice and tried everything to resolve the situation.

Keurig hotel bij het centrum en met parkeren. Lekker ontbijt, maar beetje grote maar verouderde kamer met keiharde bedden, zeer oncomfortabel met een deken en geen dekbed. Kamer was warm 1 klein raam en airco stond op verwarmen niet in te stellen. Wij zijn dag eerder voor 11.00 uur weggegaan en melding gemaakt waarom geen restitutie of niks. Voor ons niet meer.

Nice hotel with friendly staff, really close to the centre of Beaune. A bit of confusion and delay at breakfast but a minor issue only. Overall I’d recommend it.

We had a great time in your establishment, the warm welcome, very friendly staff, excellent breakfast. The hotel is well located . The room a little dark. There is also a lack of water and coffee in the rooms. We will happily come back but in another room.

Fine but dark, unattractive room. Very spatious but poorly furnished and tv not successfully turned on.

Upon driving in you are met by helpful reception staff, check in process was easy, and a welcome to Beaune map provided. Great location next to the mustard company, zFallot.
Excellent breakfast, wonderful staff .
The only let down were the thin towels and ideally I would suggest remove the bath and just have a shower.

The room was disappointing, rather sparse and it was not possible to control the room heat other than by turning on the towel rail in the bathroom and leaving the bathroom door open. however the location was excellent. secure parking and it was clean and tidy.

We booked two rooms and they were both very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful and also booked a very nice restaurant for us: Le Coc Bleu was excellent. We stayed here before en route to the snow and we will be back again!

We have stayed here before and loved it, which is why we came back. The hotel is quiet and perfect for exploring Beaune. Plenty of parking, beautiful bedrooms and a delicious breakfast….and a very special reception area with wonderful stained glass. Very historic and wonderful.

Excellent on alla aspects- we will no doubt return as regular guests, harming tried many other hotels in the region this suits us best.
