Unacceptable! No toilet paper in the room! No tissues to compensate: all the dispensers in the bathroom were empty! The room was windowless, with no natural light except from the hallway. And don't even get me started on the soundproofing: there isn't any; you're essentially sharing your room with your neighbors! The Wi-Fi works only when it feels like it: it's 2025!!! No connection in the evening, but it's fine in the morning. A shame, because the restaurant food is good. Never again!

This is an old auberge. The room, although we were upgraded was small, we couldn't get the heating to work, so we were cold.
A great stay in Villandry at the Auberge Le Colombien. We had a very large, attic family room (be careful of your head for tall people!) which was very comfortable. We had half-board and had a very good dinner.
Very pleasant hotel, nicely renovated room. Friendly and attentive staff. Good experience at the restaurant. Access to the rooms without elevator: spiral staircase a little difficult.
Well done to the entire team, from the reception to the chefs and waiters. Great location for visiting the castle and gardens.

Very well-located hotel near the Château de Villandry in a typical old stone building. Warm and friendly welcome. Room quite spacious and well-equipped with very good bedding. We had our evening meal and really enjoyed it. Very good value for money. We highly recommend it and will definitely stop by again when passing through the region.

All round a very nice stay good room and excellent food
The hotel is an excellent example of small country hotel , in this case it happens to be only 2 minutes on foot from the Chateau de Villandry whose garden is visually stunning and almost one of the wonders of the world . It is efficient, clean, tidy and well maintained ( despite being several centuries old) it simply looks the part .The staff were attentive and professional. The food was excellent and not expensive. We took the option of bed breakfast and evening meal for a set price when we booked , which on face value looked like it was a weekend offer , but it’s any day of the week .
I have nothing negative to say about the hotel, it reminded me of many excellent rural logis de France hotels I have stayed over the last 40 years offering a certain look with a good French evening meal.
A wonderful stop on our way back. An authentic hotel and, above all, an excellent restaurant that offers refined and delicious cuisine. A special mention goes to all the very welcoming and professional staff. We will return as soon as we are in the area.
Friendly welcome, hotel not very well soundproofed
Good overnight stay. Spacious, clean, and quiet room. We appreciated the fan during this heatwave. The on-site restaurant was enjoyable. I particularly liked the beetroot and goat cheese puff pastry and the sea bass fillet. The breakfast was decent. The Château de Villandry is nearby, as is a very large parking lot.
Welcoming hotel, pleasant, spacious, quiet room. Dinner in the evening was good, with fresh produce. I didn't like the brasserie at lunchtime where the service was very good but not the fish and chips with soft or mostly overcooked brown homemade fries. Breakfast looked appetizing with plenty of choice but a few drawbacks: the decent fruit salad included a majority or even all canned fruit? And the omelet, unfortunately, had no taste. Finally, the mortadella had a slight unpleasant taste as if it had been left out of the fridge for too long. Which is a shame.

Room with no window overlooking a busy corridor. Pitiful breakfast. Unacceptable value for money. Only dinner, excluding dessert, saves the establishment.
We regret that your stay did not meet your expectations.
However, upon arrival, we informed you that the standard room, at a lower rate than the other rooms, had a blocked window, as a security measure (imposed by the security commission). If you had immediately informed us of your dissatisfaction, rather than a notice the day after your stay, we would have been happy to change your room to accommodate you. Fortunately, we are delighted that you liked the restaurant, you should have tried the desserts prepared by our pastry chef...
Finally, we would like to know the reasons for your opinion regarding the "pitiful" breakfast and what we could have done to improve and fully satisfy you.

The hotel is situated in a great location with lots of free parking just across the street. Our bedroom, although small, was clean and tidy, quite adequate for a stay of 1 night. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant during the evening and everything seemed to be perfect. We had a little stroll around the village after dinner and all was peaceful and quiet when we went to bed. But the peace was shattered at about 11PM by crashing and banging and loud voices as the night team arrived to work in the bakery just below our room. This horrible noise went on for hour after hour until breakfast time, meaning we had no sleep. To whom could we complain - there was no one to complain to! When we paid our bill at checkout after breakfast the manager barely acknowledged us, never mind enquiring if everything had been satisfactory. The manager must know that the noise coming from the bakery during the night is going to deprive guests of sleep, so why not do something about it? It's absolutely disgraceful!!
I would definitely not recommend this place to friends visiting France.

Good stay but lack of air conditioning in the room and beware of mice roaming in the attic above the Lilac room. Very kind staff! A little expensive for the period compared to other establishments.
