Logis Hôtel Auberge du Colombier Rest. la Ferme Gourmande

A hotel and restaurant to be recommended.

We stayed for one night. Had a very small double room…would be better as a single or a storage cupboard. The room could do with an uplift or a complete refit. We were given a very warm welcome by the restaurant chef (Maybe the owner) on arrival. My wife asked a lady at reception for an extra toilet roll as we only had a little in the room and no spare….this never arrived…really!
Did have a lovely meal in the restaurant, good value. However there is no bar when the restaurant is closed and the neighbouring campsite is shut out of season so no access to their bar either. We spent a good few hours just sat in a very small room. I must say though the bed was very comfortable.
Unfortunately there was a large group in the restaurant in the evening, some of which were also guests of the auberge….they do not know the meaning of the word quiet with heavy footsteps, doors slamming, children running about. I sincerely hope we woke them in the morning when we left early.

The family room was well laid out, but unfortunately several negative details caught our attention. Firstly, there was a persistent smell of urine, the double bed mattress was very uncomfortable, the toilet seat was poorly attached, and the soundproofing was inadequate. On the other hand, the cleaning lady who was there in the morning was lovely and very attentive.

Enjoyed our meal and stay. Would have been better if there were tea/coffee making facilities in the room. We had travelled a long way and couldn't get a hot drink when we arrived or before we left in the morning.

We have stayed before as it is a very convenient stopover after travelling through the tunnel. We had a problem with the heating in our room and the staff immediately transferred us to another. We plan to continue using it for stopovers.

When it said bath with shower, we expected the shower to be on wall so we could either bath or stand in the bath and have shower.
Unfortunately he shower was just attached to the side of the bath taps. Apart from that very good.

Hotel and staff were very lovely and welcoming. Room would have been better with a kettle so hot drinks can be made, I also struggled to warm babies bottle without.

Room a little dated and drains made a smell in the room but the staff were very welcoming and accommodating, breakfast was excellent and the location was ideal.

Given recent improvements, much better

After a long day of travelling, we made a last-minute decision to add one more overnight stop before heading home through the Eurotunnel — and we’re so glad we did.

What a gem! This charming small hotel is beautifully peaceful, with just a few rooms, and everything was clean and well maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.

We also had a lovely dinner at the on-site restaurant, which made the evening even more relaxing. It felt like a perfect little escape to recharge before the final stretch home.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful stopover in beautiful surroundings.

no one at reception to meet us, the number that was on reception to ring was not answered at all, we had to ring the number supplied to us by Booking.com. the restaurant was not open the day we booked but it was not made clear at the time of booking. The staff who met us couldn't find our booking and left us waiting around longer while she fetched another person, eventually checked in and was told nothing of the workings of the place, simply given a key and the lady promptly left. Also, It wasn't made clear on booking.com that the facilities are shared with the camp site. The tiles in the bathroom are quite slippery when wet and the decoration is very tired and dated.

No proper reception, shared with the camp site. Room not adequately cleaned and issues with the bathroom door. The shower is a disgrace, a large bathroom with a tiny shower cabinet, no room to move for even an average sized person.

Perfect stop off before channel tunnel. Stayed the night of the women's euro final - great fun in the bar.
Really nice breakfast laid out with room numbers on tables. Lovely place.

Decent room and very good food

The quantity of food in the restaurant was enormous.
Portions were far too big and food is left on thr plate.
Also i ordered clafouti for dessert and was given a small cake with a boule of ice cream, a strawberry and a blob of cream! This is not clafouti ! Clafouti is fruit baked in a batter. Very disappointed.

There is no manned reception. You have to ring a number to advise them you've arrived. No one answered and we left 2 messages but no one came. We walked over to the campsite reception and a lady there came over to sort us out.
The layout of the room could be better. You had to walk through the first bedroom to get to the main bedroom. The toilet was off the first bedroom and had steps down and then up to it which meant the lights had to be switched on to find the way. If there had been 4 of us, visiting the toilet during the night would have disturbed those sleeping in the other room and as the bathroom was off the main bedroom, occupants of the second room would disturb the occupants of the main room.
There was a tv in this first room but none in the main room and the remote control did not work. The wifi signal was very weak. Overall the accommodation was adequate for a one night stay.

The hotel accommodation was lovely. The restaurant was not! I have stayed in many Logis hotels - I choose the ones with Gourmand restaurants mostly. This restaurant is not that!
Huge portions of horrible food slopped on the plate is not what I expect. This is industrial factory canteen standard - not Logis Gourmand.
If you want to see Logis Gourmand La Sapiniere in Remmily-Allicourt is a great example - dinner there is special. It is Gourmand standard. Please do not rubbish the Gourmand brand by claiming Restaurant du Ferme is even in the same league. I will never turn to this hotel and restaurant

Lovely little hotel. Staff homely, welcoming, wanting to please.

This is the third time we have stayed here so we knew how to register and find the key to our room, otherwise it’s a bit of a hurdle when you first arrive. We had the same room as our previous visit which was nice. Very welcoming staff in the restaurant. We had ndicated we wanted an evening meal when we booked, bt we were told that they do reserve space fo4 hotel guests anyway. The breakfast is excellent and the best we’ve had anywhere else in France. Filtered coffee which we like rather than a machine. We’ll definitely stay again

One thing to note is that it’s hard to find coming from the south. We got lost twice out of the three times we’ve been!

arrived at 1 p.m. as the website indicated, only no receptionist to welcome us. We were informed that the check-in time was 2 p.m. that said, we were greeted by the restaurant chef who was quite welcoming. The activities are great. Small pool, children's play area for the hotel room room with great potential. Unfortunately missing a few small things like a small table, possibly retractable for breakfast inside as well as a microwave and some utensils. If necessary, perhaps put some extra toilet paper just in case because room of four 4 and only one like the shower gel and soap for washing hands, there was no more inside. Luckily we had taken ours I think that in the quadruple rooms, the insulation should also be reviewed because they are not soundproofed. We could hear the people upstairs and it becomes annoying when it's very late at night and all in the morning I'm talking about hours varying up to 3am in the morning what would do the most in this room, I think, would be to also put fragrance diffusers, because a very unpleasant fish smell was present from the beginning to the end of the stay, despite opening the windows. I have been using this hotel for the last three years and I have seen an improvement in the accommodation facilities, especially removing the bath and replacing it with a walk-in shower. A kettle and coffee making facilities would be a good improvement. There are drinks available in the breakfast area, but I never know whether I need to pay for them or if they are free, and if I have to pay, I don't know the prices nor where to pay for them.

Room was very basic but clean. Bathroom was a let down. The shower was so small I couldn't bend down without hitting the tap and turning the water off! The toilet seat didn't fit properly and the door caught on the frame so opening it (unfortunately in the middle of the night) made a loud noise. We chose the hotel and pre-booked a dinning experience. This was a let down. There is a reason I haven't seen smoked salmon with apple and cream on any other menu! The main course of our experience sold as 'culinary delights' was steak and frites (which was good quality but not the kind of delights we hoped for). Cheese was thin slivers of very similar sem-firm cheeses - no choice, no creamy, chèvre, blue or anything else of interest. wines were mediocre . Restaurant staff appeared temporary and struggled to answer questions. We were asked to pay the hotel bill at the end of the evening and there was nobody in evidence when we left so merely dropped the key and departed. . The location and site is perfect and it could be excellent but for us we won't be returning especially considered what we paid for this stay.

Peaceful, friendly and helpful.

Very good overall, but the breakfast room was very poorly heated and the microwave was not plugged in to heat the milk.

Restaurant closed, you are told in an email that upon your arrival you will be given a partner for the restaurant... But you need to have someone at reception... There is no one, and if you try to phone... No one answers.... Basic breakfast.... And still no one.... A young girl who has just started who is alone to listen to dissatisfied customers. I am at the hotel 3 to 4 nights a week.... I have never had a similar situation. We welcome the public and there is no one... Once not twice
