What a joy to have finally arrived here, on the verge of sunstroke after these endless climbs! The Auberge de la Hulotte is a charming little hotel close to the GR4, modern and very well-run, which offers excellent local cuisine and a quality breakfast. For hikers tired of spartan burons, it offers a high-end stopover opportunity with excellent value for money.

Quiet and relaxing place. Rustic and typical inn of the region. The catering is of excellent quality. Our grandchildren loved the place and the large family room with “princess” bunk beds.

The hotel is in a very quiet location. Our room was very clean and rustically furnished. We had a lovely view of the surrounding area and the Puy de Dôme. Reception, service and advice are very friendly and competent. The two hostesses serve almost exclusively local products and homemade dishes. If you stay for a longer period of time, the choice for dinner is limited. Most excursions, restaurants and shops can be reached by car/bike.
We loved our night's stay here, a lovely out of the way stop over in the heart of great scenery, on the outskirts of a charming village (with a friendly bar as we arrived in the area much too early). Staff welcoming, nice room and lovely bathroom, spotless throughout and a pleasing menu with portions which out shone our abilities! Now on our regular stop over route up from Catalonia!
