The positives: young, friendly waiter, good food. The negatives: - very unpleasant smell upon arrival at the hotel. - Room 16 in a disastrous state (dry water leaks on the walls, peeling wallpaper, draft in the room, in short, a terrible night when I had just done 600km and had to do the same again the next day). Very disappointed by this Logis de France, even though it is a benchmark in hotels..... - Breakfast table not cleaned.
We stayed for 2 nights over the weekend. Nice welcome from the helpful owner. Excellent restaurant and good breakfast. Sadly restaurant closed on Sunday as most hotels in France. Nice atmospheric old hotel.

Ideal for what we needed. Welcome was good, as was the service. The meal however, surpassed our expectations. It was very, very good.
The room with the worst soundproofing I've ever had the misfortune to try to sleep in, we spend all night listening to cars passing outside, or the pipes from the other rooms. No shower gel in the shower either, it's a shame because the building is nice and the restaurant is decent, but if in the end we spend a sleepless night because of the noise, it's useless.
The bedroom and bathroom are in need of attention.

Lovely old style of a rich history
The manager is welcoming but the hotel is clearly at the end of its life, with worn or non-functional equipment and above all a very strong smell of feline droppings (there are at least 2 cats... adorable ones by the way who wander everywhere), whether in the entrance hall, in the breakfast room but also in the bathroom of the room, which I did not use...

Nice Hotel but could do with a bit of a makeover. Manager spoke perfect English and was a true gent. The restaurant was outstanding in terms of food choices and quality. The waiter was excellent and attentive. Possibly the best part of our stay.

It is in a peaceful location with access to forest walks. The restaurant and its wine list are superb.
Good value for a pleasant stay and don't expect boring branded chain conformity. This hotel has the human touch! This was our third stay and we hope to return soon.

We ate excellently, it was refined and we were very well received. Downside on the accommodation, the bedding was bad, lifted with the al on the back. It's a shame because otherwise it's quiet.

The hotel is a building of character and the bedroom was spacious and perfectly adequate. The owner was welcoming, friendly and very efficient and the evening meal that we had was of a very good quality. If you want a modern hotel with all modcoms, this is probably not for you, but it is very comfortable

Very old hotel, the room is from the 1970s, still in its original state. Very rococo, a good one in time. Really needs major renovation work
Monsieur Martin and his team are the best. The Auberge has a wonderful character, is comfortable and a very special place. Our dinner menu was superb and outstanding value. Thank you, and we hope to return in the Spring.

With a healthy perspective, this is a top hotel. We slept well, we ate well and we were made welcome. If you want more from a hotel, why don't you spend some money?
The hotel decor and rooms are somewhat dated but the hotel owner made us very welcome and the meal in the evening was superb - one of the best meals we’ve had in a Logis and great value for money.
