Logis Hôtel Auberge de la Cascade

The manager didn't give us a very pleasant welcome. The room I was assigned hadn't been made up. I moved to another room, which was in the attic. This hotel has no prestige; I don't recommend it at all. Fortunately, the meal was good.

Disappointing value for money, compared to other accommodations: Cost of the night not in line with the quality of the accommodation. Bedding: very average No soundproofing No separation: toilet, bathroom,. TV remote control does not work No storage cupboard or coat rack

For a 4-day stay, room 10, called the heart of the village, is not suitable. It is cramped, with very little space for luggage. If you have a medium-sized suitcase and a small suitcase, it is no longer possible to move around in the room. The television is placed flush with the ceiling, with part of it hidden by a beam. The accordion door to the bathroom is impractical, and the shower door is difficult to close. This spoils the stay a little because the place is magnificent. I would recommend this room for a one-night stay.

Gelegen in een idyllisch plaatsje. De hotelkamers bevinden zich in verschillende huizen in het dorpje. We moesten best veel trappen op om de eenvoudige maar schone kamer te bereiken. Dat waa pittig maar het had ook wel iets avontuurlijks. Ontvangst en bediening in restaurant attent en vriendelijk.

I was delighted by the quality of the restaurant. The breakfast was delicious, with excellent value for money, and the service team was always pleasant. I also had a very good experience with the accommodation; the room was comfortable, quiet, and well-equipped. Special mention goes to the comfort of the bedding! Finally, a big thank you to the staff for their kindness and professionalism. Their warm welcome makes me want to come back very soon!

Your hotel is just right for us to take a 2 day break ,the pool is very convenient especially if you have children. However it proximity to the river and it's beach is excellent. The restaurant is nice , we did not eat there but enjoyed croissant,s ,ice cream , agee coffee's,I suppose we did use it more than we thought and it and the staff were lovely.eespeak a little french, we are Irish, but many of the staff had v good English . Proximity to local villages and their restaurant s is easy . All in all a great stay in a lovely hotel .we will be back .

Very beautiful village on the banks of the Tarn

The hotel is beautifully located in a wonderful little village in the heart of the Tarn Gorges. It is very peaceful. The food is of very good quality with excellent homemade desserts. The rooms, located in historic stone buildings, are very clean, and the balcony is a plus. The breakfast is very good with homemade jams. The welcome is professional, with a little note for everyone. The swimming pool is a plus. There is no daily menu.

Very well located hotel in a charming and typical village

The little village of Saint Chély and the Auberge de la Cascade are a very nice discovery. The welcome was very pleasant, we were even offered to park our motorcycles in the garage. The rooms are nicely atypical because they are located in stone buildings, you don't feel at all like you are in a hotel but rather in a gîte and it's very nice! The restaurant serves good regional dishes and breakfast is well served. The setting is magnificent! It's a place I would recommend

The welcome from ROSE and Roger, who own the inn, in a relaxing setting is most pleasant. This small, isolated village has a lot of charm.

Very small room, but fine for just one night. The location right on the Tarn is fantastic. Swimming in the river is a must; it's a wonderful way to cool off after a hot day. For dinner, I chose the truffle menu. Absolutely delicious!

Nothing to say, everything was perfect and the environment and living conditions were superb.

Very nice hotel and a restaurant where you can only enjoy yourself, the dishes are excellent. Everything is done to ensure you have a wonderful stay. The staff and owners are very friendly. The place is magnificent, ideal for recharging your batteries in an authentic setting. The swimming pool is a plus with its view of the Tarn.

Very nice location for this establishment, rooms scattered throughout the village. Good reception. Small room with fairly average comfort and poor soundproofing. Small bathroom with everything necessary despite everything. On the other hand, very little light in this room, the lamps above the mirror do not work. The meals served in the restaurants are decent and the breakfasts are excellent. The staff is quite friendly.

Bed a little hard

Chosen for the heated pool. The welcome is warm. The owner tries to satisfy you as much as possible. The bedding is comfortable and the restaurant dishes are generous and very good, everything is homemade. The setting is idyllic. The only downside is that you have to reconnect to the wifi several times during the day (understandable given the geographical location).

Despite the wonderful nature and many ways to look around, the best of hotel is the service and kindness. The dinner is specially delicious and all the time regional food. Everybody is pleased to make you have a good stay. In September you need car, the bus is no longer running in the "gore of the tarn".

Maybe the other rooms are ok but the one I was given is awful. The shower leaks everywhere, the sink drain was stuck and the sewage smells were unbearable. In addition, the television presented as a service is stuck to the ceiling and the image is absolutely horrible. Of course I reported the bathroom problems but the solution was to provide towels to put on the floor. I was not offered a change of room. I would also like to point out that the restaurant staff were efficient and friendly.

Herrlich gelegenes Hotel, das sich ganz dem dörflichen Stil der Tarnschlucht anpasst. Der Empfang im Hotel ist sehr herzlich. Wir hatten ein Zimmer in einem der schön restaurierten Dorfhäuser gewählt und waren sehr zufrieden. The Hotel does not contain any reservations for old-fashioned Unternehmungen in the Tarnschlucht. Am Abend wird man mit köstlichen regionalen Gerichten verwöhnt, die von einem wirklich erstklassigem Team serviert werden. Das war ein echtes Erlebnis! Herzlichen Dank an das tolle Team! Wirden werden bestimmt wieder kommen.

TV is not great

A very nice experience, a magnificent site and smiling and helpful staff.

The inn is located on a magnificent site. The team is very welcoming and very friendly. The meals are very good, with a pleasant and family service. The plus: the swimming pool, warm and with a superb point of view ... a treat; and several hiking trails from the inn. The structure to access ST Chely is superb (dating from 1904), with easy access to the Tarn. Our only disappointment: we had booked a comfort room at €88 and we got a room at €78, smaller and with a shower where you had to be careful not to flood (shower door not very well adjusted). PB: we were charged for the room at €88, i.e. + €40 over 4 nights. I will check in detail next time. Same for 1 of the meals: + €5.50 (2 coffees + 2 glasses of wine at €11 instead of a simple beer at €5.50) hence a quality/price ratio that I simply noted as correct.

Excellent staff and service, lovely food. Views beautiful. Unfortunately let down by tired rooms that are very small. Very little storage space and decor fell off wall when we brushed past. Exhibiting nails. The shower leaked water all over the floor and the room alone was 105€ I don't think value for money.

A week's holiday in a magnificent setting in an isolated hamlet in the heart of the Tarn Gorges. Well-run family hotel, warm welcome and very clean. As a bonus, swimming pool, restaurant with quality cuisine with fresh produce.

Very pretty little medieval village with its feet in the Tarn! Rose and her team welcomed us very well! Very comfortable little room with a beautiful balcony overlooking the very pretty alleyway leading to the Tarn and the swimming pool! Quality bedding! Peace and quiet guaranteed 🌸 If I may make a suggestion... a small fridge and a kettle would be appreciated!

St Chely, a little gem in the Tarn Gorges, is worth the detour and is worth it with the influx of tourists in August... A 2-day stay for us... The Auberge de la Cascade is a great place to discover, the food is very good (incidentally, we really liked the chef's omelette ;-) ) The staff is very welcoming and very friendly! However, there was a small downside with our room, which was much too small and had no air conditioning... too bad...

Very pleasant welcome from all the staff. Idyllic setting in a wonderful place in the Tarn Gorges. We ate one evening at the restaurant of the Auberge de la Cascade......a real treat, fresh products and cooked by a top chef.....we will come back!!!

The inn is well maintained, the meals are quality and inexpensive and the breakfast is also varied and of good quality.

Great location, rustic hotel in the middle of the Tarn Gorge. Great ambience, a wonderful atmosphere, surrounded by houses that are all built on and into the rocks. Located directly above the Tarn, you can swim in the river - a wonderful experience. The restaurant is of great quality, the staff is friendly, the rooms are clean but very small. They are not all easily accessible as they are in different, very winding houses and can be reached via small rock steps. But the great location and the special atmosphere make up for everything.

A delightful hotel in an iconic location off the beaten track. The location was wonderful, the hotel lovely, our accommodation quirky but with everything we needed and staff that were welcoming and accommodating of our less that adequate English. All highly recommended.

We thought we would stay in Sainte Enimie but no! The accommodation is in Saint Chely du Tarn, 5 km away! A disappointment but quickly faded because the place is magical. Rooms in stone village houses. Simple but clean rooms. Please specify when booking if you have motor difficulties. Very good menu at €26 with trout and aligoté. Young bubbly waitress. Waiter with strong body odor. Damage!

Like a pearl in a bucolic and idyllic setting, the Auberge de la Cascade, which may seem simple at first glance, turns out to be a very pleasant establishment to recharge your batteries in a postcard setting. The catering is classic but the dishes are very well cooked and the staff is dedicated, welcoming and warm. Second plus: the organization of the Hotel places you in "immersion" in the typical houses of this Cévennes village with alleys and steps from the medieval era. A real change of scenery! A special mention for the manager of the establishment who amazed us with her dynamism, her natural friendliness and watches over her guests like a "mother".

On the other hand, we should make an effort on the bread: whether at dinner or breakfast, the one served to us was of very ordinary quality. Is there no good baker around?
