Logis Hostellerie de la Chaumière

We stayed at the Logis Hostellerie de la Chaumiere on our way back to the UK with our dog, to break up the journey from the Alps to Calais. Not far from the motorway this was an excellent choice. The hotel was very modern, the room in Susan's Hotel was excellent and breakfast and evening meal were superb. Parking was secure and off the road, we were able to park right outside our room. There was a nice garden and a garden gate opening onto a quite footpath, so good for exercising the dog. The dog was also allowed into the restaurant. I will use this hotel in future, and would recommend it to friends.

The hotel, rooms, and breakfast are decent. But the welcome is subpar, and the restaurant is very disappointing.

We stayed one night in this hotel, everything was perfect for a pleasant time. The parking available, the welcome, the hotel and the meal were faultless. The staff were friendly and simple. We will return on our next visit to Champagne. Hotel to recommend.

Clean room and comfortable bedding. Beautiful, small, new bathroom with walk-in shower. Very happy with the room. The setting is warm, very British, and we had a very good dinner at the hotel restaurant.

In a beautiful wooded setting, this is a very comfortable and quiet hotel. The breakfast is exceptional. We had dinner in the evening. The food was excellent. However, the restaurant service lacked rigor.

I arrived at the hotel too early, hoping to get a room before 4 p.m. This was not possible. This is consistent with the information provided, but a shame. It was also not possible to place my luggage somewhere while waiting for the room to be available. This is more surprising. The room was available at 4:04 p.m.! The quality of the room service could also be improved (was a waiter sick?). However, the meal was excellent in quality and presentation. The room was well-equipped and comfortable. The location was pleasant. A good address, therefore, with table service and a welcome that could be improved.

The accommodation in the annex is off the road and very quiet. The meal was excellent. The room was clean, modern and well equipped.

The stay was very pleasant, breakfast more than satisfactory, impeccable service, excellent restaurant level and quality. The only flaw was the toilet flush and discharge, very noisy. However, I would return.

We are delighted, once again, with our stay. We have booked several times at La Chaumière: - 2Étapes in summer and 2 Escapades as part of a package offered in winter (January 2023 and February 2025. -from the 13th to the 16th, the Valentine's Day menu was a real success, with nice touches) The service is really pleasant and the menus offered are of quality. A complete assortment for breakfasts Just one downside: our room and the bathroom were insufficiently heated. The temperature seems to be programmed remotely We were cold this year except on Saturday...

We only stayed one night at the hotel, but we were very satisfied with our stay. We hope to be able to return soon.

The owner of the hotel and her entire team are absolutely kind, and yet we did not make it easy for her (a 2-year-old child, a dog, etc.). But everyone always bent over backwards to satisfy us. The rooms are comfortable with good bedding and a superb view of the countryside. The soundproofing is excellent. Breakfast and dinner were incredibly good with fresh, local produce.

We hebben op onze thuisreis uit Zuid Frankrijk hier 1 nacht mogen overnachten. De grootouders en de kinderen met twee kleinkinderen van 0 en 2jaar. Mooie lokatie, gewldig hulpvaardig personeel (en eigenaresse) en heerlijk kunne dineren. Voor kind van 2jaar een aangepast, gezond menuutje gemaakt door de keuken. Ontbijt was ook prima. Zeker aan te bevelen. Geen last van de RN, zelfs in de kamer voorzijde "oude gebouw".
We komen zeker terug.

The accommodation has old(er) charms, it’s not luxurious but clean. The staff is very nice and the environment is beautiful. And the catering is limited but very good. It’s a perfect stop ‘on your way to…’. And above all, pets are welcome too.

Beautiful and charming hotel, rooms are a bit outdated but clean. You shouldn't come here for luxury, but for the atmosphere and family atmosphere! Very beautiful garden! Dinner was well prepared and very tasty. The breakfast was rather small but very nice with fresh products. Perhaps provide larger plates or extra plates, that would be more practical and there would be music in the background. The young lady who runs the hotel knows her stuff. That's great!

We had a really lovely stay. A very comfortable room. A delicious dinner and excellent breakfast. Our also enjoyed her stay particularly the walk in the grounds.

The hotel is perfect: bar, reception and great breakfast! Only downside: the rooms are rather dated and not soundproofed. No shower and only a bathtub and a noisy sanitary toilet.

A clean modern room and a pretty good restaurant. Slightly expensive especially the wines but acceptable.

A nice hotel - recently refurbished / opened. Excellent restaurant. One niggle: I booked online - and chose a room in the main building - but when I arrived was given a room across the courtyard in ‘Susan’s Hotel’. I was tired and didn’t argue, but was disappointed to not get what I had booked. No explanation. And of course it was raining so the short walk from the room to the restaurant required a coat - which I would have avoided if I’d been given the room I booked. Also, I booked a table for dinner online, and also said I wanted breakfast. So why was I asked again when I arrived? I know it’s trivial - but why ask the question when doing the online booking if the hotel takes no notice?
