For the price, there's nothing to complain about.
Professional and friendly staff. Excellent bedding and breakfast. The only downside was the noise and a slight odor in the room.

Nothing to report, clean hotel and spacious room. Large, comfortable bed. Extremely comfortable bedding (sheets, etc.). A nice little welcome tray. Ideally located. Affordable prices.
The lady at reception was welcoming and helped me change my room as this was necessary. When I entered the room I was given, there was an overwhelming odour of some perfumed, chemical spray. I didn't think about it, even though it was irritating, just opened the windows which dissipated it slightly. However, after some time I noticed a bad case of mold on the ceiling in one corner of the room and above the window. Maybe the spray had been applied to mask the smell of the mold. At any rate, I am surprised that this hotel lets rooms with such a mold problem. It is known to be hazardous to health, even sleeping just one night in such a room is advised against. I read up on some booking.com reviews where other guests had mentioned this problem too. Obviously, it is known to the hotel management.
The next morning, the electricity was cut off on the floor I stayed on and didn't come on again till check-out time. Hence, no light in the bathroom too or to boil the kettle for a cup of tea. Electricity problems can happen; they just didn't help to improve my impression of this hotel, having encountered first of all a room with a big mold manifestation in it.
The rooms themselves are spacious and lovely. The bed was comfortable. The short distance of the hotel from the central train station is very convenient and probably appreciated by many. However, I would hesitate to recommend this hotel to others due to mentioned reasons.

A pleasant stay and a perfect welcome, except for the breakfast reception with a very unpleasant person who put us in a bad mood first thing in the morning! Fortunately, breakfast itself was excellent, even if less plentiful than in previous years. The reception staff were charming, friendly, and very helpful! A hotel definitely worth visiting, well located near the train station, quiet, and close to the Christmas markets, the cathedral, and Petite France…

Excellent welcome for one night at the Hotel Vendôme We spent only one night at the Hotel Vendôme, but everything was perfect. The welcome was exceptional: whether it was the day or night receptionist, everyone was very friendly, helpful, and professional. The cleanliness of the hotel is impeccable, which immediately put us at ease. Finally, the location is ideal, a stone's throw from the train station, perfect for a short stay or an early departure. A very good address that we recommend without hesitation!

Very clean hotel, spacious room, but the bed is actually an old, battered sofa and the shower is in the toilet (concept...). Regarding the bedding, I was apparently unlucky because the receptionist told me that a new bed was due to arrive the next day (?). The area is really bad in the evening, but fortunately no need to leave the windows open because there is air conditioning. In short, some very good, and some unacceptable (bedding), so overall an average rating. For one night it was fine.
The hotel is in a great location. Close to thestation and a walkable distance to the centre of Strasbourg.
There are many eateries in the nearby streets and a Carrefour next door.
The breakfast was varied and plentiful.
Our only issue was the shower. It was very small and a most peculiar shape. Absolutely no room to move. There was also a large step to get in and out of the cubicle.
Good hotel near the train station. All sights are within easy walking distance. Very friendly and competent staff. Good beds and furnishings. Perfect for a visit to Strasbourg.
