Courteous and professional staff. A perfect stay!
The hotel is very well located in the heart of the pedestrian and semi-pedestrian zone, yet accessible by car. However, it's best to have a GPS to find it. It's housed in a magnificent 19th-century mansion. The quality of the restaurant is a wonderful surprise!
A wonderful overnight stay experience; the room was very comfortable and the food was delicious!

Always so good every time I come. Very warm welcome, perfect room, all the staff are pleasant, the food is very good, the breakfasts are perfect. There is not much parking space at the hotel, but parking is available nearby and there is a large public car park 2 minutes away on foot.
The hotel is very well located, and the receptionist was very accommodating regarding parking, which is very difficult next to the hotel. However, for a 3-star hotel, our room was not at all up to standard. The common areas are outdated.
I had already stayed in a suite at this establishment, it was a very pleasant stay and that is why on this weekend of August 15th I renewed the experience. But years later the quality was not there. Room No. 11 is very small and really not suitable, the term comfort is very far from reality, you cannot move around the bed, there is no space between the foot of the bed and the opposite wall, the view overlooks a backyard where the employees take their break. But the big disappointment is the state of hygiene and cleanliness of the spa. I reported it but the next day it was the same (filth on the hammam benches). The positive note is the quality of the breakfast: varied, good quality of products, there is something for everyone, it is the positive point of the hotel.
Hello, A welcome adapted to the customer's profile. So when you have breakfast, do spa treatments and have a car parked in the parking lot, the welcome will be better. When you come by train, don't have breakfast and pay with a gift voucher, the level of welcome will be different.... Too bad because the hotel is well located and the room was pleasant.

Excellent hotel, perfect staff. The only downside was the lack of a restaurant.
Room (small), bathroom and toilet clean. Equipment in good condition. 3 points that could be improved: - apart from on the bed, it is impossible to put a suitcase for 2 people, 3 nights to collect your belongings. There is a tripod near the foot of the bed but the cupboard above is too low to be able to open the lid. - it is not a detail: the toilet paper is not even worthy of a Formula 1. At this level of range, it is petty. - when you go to reception, the staff always has something better to do, without even trying to ask for a wait... On the other hand, the person who does the maintenance was very kind. We thank her very much.

Very friendly and professional staff. Unfortunately, the bedding was not at all up to the standard of the hotel. As for breakfast at 18 euros per person, we were expecting something exceptional, but in the end there was very little choice, which was very disappointing for the price.

Beautiful photo of a bright room on the site! The reality is quite different! Small room, very dark to renovate! Bathroom too small, very dark and shower joints very dirty: mold to clean! No safe and no fridge! Too bad! Very beautiful house, very quiet but too dark! The price is not in line with the quality! Remember to reserve a parking space because it is very complicated to park!

There were 3 of us sitting next to each other at tables without knowing each other: it's not going to be easy.....
The superior comfort room is closer to 20m² than 25m², value for money: a little too expensive.
The room was cramped and poorly designed. The service was mediocre; the towels we requested at reception were never replaced, even though the receptionist was supposed to do it as soon as she finished an urgent task (supposedly 5 to 10 minutes) for the restaurant. As a result, we couldn't shower before going to another restaurant. Finally, the very friendly night porter came to our rescue upon our return! Four stars without the service that should be provided!
The apartment is large, clean, and modern. However, the soundproofing is catastrophic; we heard our neighbors all day and night. It was impossible to sleep, which ruined our experience. And no solution was offered, nor any goodwill gestures, which is a shame.

Hotel that does not live up to the 4 stars awarded. No mini fridge in the rooms, small rooms and bathrooms. Friendly hotel staff, who gave us a superior room at no extra cost, but in which the bathroom was very small. Very unfriendly restaurant staff, who greeted us very unpleasantly on the day of our arrival because we entered through the restaurant door at 3:30 p.m., instead of the hotel door hidden under a porch.
Overall good - access is not very well signposted and the streets are pedestrianised which was difficult. The car park was not specified as chargeable when I arrived; I agree in principle but it's better to say so. Good hotel and good quality - Very good food. Good stay
We had a very pleasant stay at the EDGAR Hotel. We highly recommend it.
Parking is not ok: - there are 6 spaces - in reality there is only space for 4 cars. - I had to move space 3 times. The last space near a bush. Every morning the car was full of bird droppings! We forgot to clean the room once! Service and staff in the restaurant in the evening were great. For a 5-night stay with full board: not enough choice. Always the same menu!
We found the price of the rooms high for the size under the roof. We arrived for breakfast around 10am on Sunday and there was already quite a bit missing, at 18 euros it was disappointing, moreover we changed our minds because the restaurant is not open on Sundays and on Monday July 14th, we only stayed one night.
Very nice hotel. The location is ideal in the city center. The rooms are tastefully decorated. The only downside is the size of the bathroom (no shower glass) in the standard room. This is definitely the best hotel in Saint-Brieuc.

I would have preferred coffee capsules to ground coffee available in the room; a stool in the bathroom would have been welcome. As for breakfast, compared to other 4-star hotels, the selection is limited, and the serving plates are too small.

Surprised and disappointed. To see the toilets in the bathroom. Noises from the toilets in other rooms disappointed. We had a disabled room, open shower, we water everything. Dim light in the bathroom. Breakfast very good. Decor very good. Location very good. The rest is good.
It's a good experience, the problem is the work next to the hotel, just the room is disappointing compared to the price, it was room 7. But as I hadn't booked it was the only one left (so in terms of quality/price it was disappointing). But I come regularly because it's a place I like. A very pleasant stay with the spa, massage, and restaurant package. A beautiful hotel and comfortable room. Excellent dinner at the restaurant with the signature menu. Everything was almost perfect; only the quality of the breakfast disappointed us for a 4-star hotel: we would have appreciated freshly squeezed orange juice and homemade scrambled eggs, for example. And a small gesture of goodwill could have been made following the cancellation the day before of our second booked massage.
Full breakfast, just a little disappointed by the poor quality scrambled eggs and the industrial fruit salad... a shame for an establishment of this standing... remarkable room however
Hôtel is open but not the restaurant. Disapointing! Even if it is monday the hôtel restaurant has to be open.

I stay in about 100 hotels a year, and this one is poor value for money. A breakfast like the one I had should cost a maximum of €15, given what was on offer. The shower wasn't great either.

Unusual hotel nestled in the corner of Place de la Resistance
Arrival by car with reserved parking space: the space is occupied by a "friend of the management" who is having lunch. Wait 1 hour. Accommodation room 116: small and bathroom a corridor: 1 meter wide, 2 meters long for the shower. UNWORTHY of a 4 star. 2nd day: room departure 10 a.m., return 4:30 p.m.: the room is not made up and if I do not notify reception I think it has been forgotten: UNWORTHY of a 4 star. Avoid this accommodation. Finally, departure and a too high rating which does not correspond to our stay The positive: the welcome, the gourmet restaurant and its chef, the breakfast well stocked with products, the location in the city center. HOTEL to AVOID for those looking for the comfort and services of a 4 star establishment.
Chaotic arrival due to construction. Not up to 4-star standards. One small bottle of water in the room for two people, one tea bag, one herbal tea bag for two. No soap in the shower. No fast food or charcuterie board around 6:00 PM. Chuck roast... undercooked John Dory... the head waiter said: "That made us lose a John Dory." Head waiter not up to scratch. Breakfast was okay. No one at breakfast, great. Not exactly impressive for a 4-star hotel. We've come for the third time and are disappointed. Thank you - Regards
