A magnificent establishment, the setting, both inside and out, is beautiful, welcoming, and warm. The spacious rooms make you want to extend your stay. The room was lovely, roomy, and very clean, with a furnished balcony overlooking the garden and a small stream. The welcome and kindness of the staff were beyond perfect, and we thank them sincerely. A very good meal was served in the evening. The spa area, with private access by reservation, is a bonus, and everything is provided for a pleasant and relaxing experience. We will cherish the memory of Moulin du Landion and hope to return someday.

The room was well-equipped but not soundproofed; we could clearly hear the neighbors above. The staff was excellent. The food in the restaurant was good, except for the desserts, which weren't homemade and weren't very good. The spa was very nice, except for the toilets, which weren't very clean.

ABSOLUTELY AVOID: A HOTEL OF FILTH AND CUSTOMER CONTEMPT. We came to Le Moulin du Landion thanks to a gift from my son, thinking we'd have a quiet and pleasant stay. On paper, everything was appealing: a 3-star hotel, a spa, a peaceful setting. In reality, it was all smoke and mirrors. To help the chambermaid, I removed the bedsheets. Big mistake. The mattress topper was completely stained, filthy, repulsive. I then lifted the topper to see the state of the mattress itself: an absolute horror. Honestly, I wouldn't even let a dog sleep on it. I almost vomited. It's disgraceful, shameful, and unacceptable. I went immediately to reception. The woman, friendly but visibly embarrassed, followed me to the room. The cleaning lady was there. Both women confirmed that it was a disgrace, that they themselves would never sleep in such filth, and informed me that the room would be "closed until the owners arrive to show them." The worst part? Management is fully aware of the situation. Numerous complaints have already been made. Nothing has been rectified. It's clearly a deliberate choice: making guests sleep in dirty beds while still taking their money. A complete lack of respect. At reception, I was told that it was obvious I couldn't be charged for a room in that condition. The concrete result? The spa was "offered"... but the room was still charged, even though we slept in filth. My parents, who were also there, discovered the same state of the mattress in their room. Same scenario: spa offered, Wonderbox wasted, night spent in a veritable garbage dump. The manager was called in front of us. He couldn't care less. No gesture of goodwill, no serious apology from management, no follow-up whatsoever. I was promised a callback to discuss the matter. I was never contacted. I left this establishment disgusted and sickened, both by the unsanitary conditions of the rooms and by the deplorable attitude of the management. This hotel deserves neither its stars, nor its prices, nor its misleading advertising. I will do everything I can to share this experience so that other customers are not fooled by beautiful photos that hide a sordid reality. Sleeping in filth is not a minor detail: it is a serious offense. A complaint has just been filed with the DGCCRF (French Directorate General for Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control). Shame on you.

The hotel is surrounded by a beautiful park and situated in a peaceful, verdant setting. The atmosphere is conducive to relaxation, and the spa is very pleasant, with a very large jacuzzi! I had requested special decorations for the honeymoon room, but this wasn't taken into account, which is a shame! The room was very basic and not very large. However, the bedding was comfortable. The breakfast buffet offered a good selection, but the quality of some items (pastries and pancakes in particular) was disappointing.

It was cold there. We sat next to the fireplace to drink champagne (which wasn't real champagne, but cost €13 a glass). The fireplace was off, but icy air was coming in. It was also cold during dinner, and there was a terrible draft. A man even went to get his winter coat and put it on at the table. The shower water was a maximum of 35 degrees Celsius, which isn't very warm when it's minus 4 degrees Celsius outside. It's a shame it was like that. It was a beautiful place.

The condition of the bathrooms needs to be reviewed (parquet floor tiles laid over the old tiles, limescale in the sanitary facilities, wobbly bathtub cradle, dirty toilet brush and receptacle, a bit of shower product left in the dispenser)

Great place, very good food, very warm welcome and very pleasant setting. Beautiful room, the large shower could just use a grab bar as the tray is quite slippery for people of a certain age like us...78 years old. Otherwise everything was perfect.

We had the privilege spa room. We are in our seventies. It felt very unsafe to use the spa bath. The bed is very wide (2 meters wide); it's a shame the sheets couldn't keep up; they were simply laid on the mattress with no way to tuck it in. The amenities included a bottle of water: nothing. Cleanliness: indecisive, but look at the shutters when they're closed: they need cleaning, even though it's on the outside but visible from the inside. The amenities also mention a bar. Yes, there is a bar, but with only one table and three or four chairs. So, it's only usable by one couple at a time. Restaurant: the fillet was supposed to come with a baked potato. We asked if another side dish was available, and we were offered fries. The dish was served with a baked potato but no fries. When ordering, I was worried about dessert, only to be told they were almost out. I asked for one to be reserved for me; my wife specified that she would choose after the main course. My dessert was served without anyone asking what my wife would like. In short, a lack of professionalism.

Hotel with 2 spas, one large and one small, we tested the small one, only small downside, one of the 2 jacuzzi benches did not work (button stuck) but it is really the only downside of the stay. Very welcoming staff, we had a very good stay which made us want to discover the other hotels in the "Demeures & châteaux" range of hotels

We had a pleasant stay in this hotel, the spa is really good and the restaurant is super good.

We booked half-board. On our last evening, we asked if we could have a different main course than the one listed on the menu. It was no problem. Ultimately, we were charged the price of the regular menu plus the price of the main course we requested. While they hadn't announced that a surcharge might be added, we would have accepted it. This is simply theft!

Everything was perfect

Lorsque nous voyageons dans la région, le moulin du Landion est d'office notre lieu d'hébergement nous avons toujours été très contents aussi bien du personnel que de la chambre, du restaurant et du petit déjeuner. Lors de notre dernier séjour, nous avions choisi une suite (faute de chambre classique).
Lorsque nous sommes arrivés à l'hôtel, il était +/-16h45 notre chambre n'était pas tout a fait prête et lorsque nous en avons pris possession, cette chambre était infestée de mouches des dizaines et des dizaines de ces insectes envahissaient les fenêtres. Après un pourparlers avec le réceptionniste, nous avons pu obtenir un autre logement.
Concernant le restaurant, nous avons déploré un manque de raffinement et aussi de quantité dus probablement au stress du nombre de convives pour le diner (une douzaine de motards en plus des résidents).
Quant au petit déjeuner, il se résumait à sa plus simples expression. Un peu de fromage, idem en charcuterie… un panier joliment décoré cocotte (mais hélas la poule n'avait pas pondu)

Good overall but there are some areas for improvement: the room (suite "chapel bas") is a bit disappointing (reading light switch broken, air conditioning diode constantly flashing even when the air conditioning is off, no door between the entrance room and the bedroom, bunk beds occupying the entire space of the entrance room (useless for a couple) instead of a sofa bed that could be used as a living room since there is a television in this room, cobwebs on the ceiling). On the other hand, the room is tastefully renovated, with good bedding, and a very nice bathroom with a large shower and whirlpool bath. Welcoming and friendly staff. Very good restaurant with impeccable service for a reasonable price. Quiet and relaxing environment thanks to the small river, the garden and the large trees.

We have always enjoyed our stays at the Moulin and this, 18 September, was just as good. The room was lovely with a view over the gardens and the receptionist was friendly and helpful but was seriously overworked - he was the sole server at dinner and was clearly under pressure, although he remained affable and helpful through it all. He deserves 5*+!

A wonderful discovery for our Wedding Anniversary! We had booked a gourmet getaway, 1 hour of SPA, 2 Pleasure menus, 2 glasses of champagne as well as 2 breakfasts! Everything was respected! Warm welcome, friendly staff in the restaurant as well as during breakfast! Good three-course menu, very generous breakfast (various pastries, jams, honey, hard-boiled eggs, various and good quality cold meats, yogurts etc.... And of course, no worries about the Etik kitty!

Etc…. Welcome for our arrival at the top, on the other hand the gentleman for our departure, quite rude, preferred to answer the phone and send the bill! No goodbye, nothing.! A little disappointed… Cleanliness of the room….to be reviewed….cobwebs in the corners, dust…..

Lovely hotel the restaurant food was extremely good. Nice breakfast . Plenty grounds and space outside for our dog to play. Staff dog friendly. Room was large and in a separate building in the grounds perfect for us ! Mostly the staff very helpful ( the waiter on our first night being the only exception)

Spa VERY SLIPPERY FLOOR!!! You have to put a mat down, no changing room either, and it was way too hot in the room!! Laurence at the reception is great, very helpful!! and listens to the room no. 7, the bathroom trash is rusty, not great!! And the shower floor needs a mat in the non-slip shower!! Balcony seat needs changing and the bottom sheet is very stained, otherwise very quiet, great bedding, and for breakfast a bit expensive compared to the choice on offer!!

Our stay was a Wonderbox gift. We were unable to take advantage of the wellness facilities, which were paid and comprehensive. We received no information about the spa and were unable to enjoy it.

We were disappointed with the service upon arrival, no indication of access codes when moving in the event of staff absence, alarm triggered following a scheduling issue. The staff who dealt with this issue in the morning were very responsive and very professional and caring. Room clean overall but dust not made for our arrival. Numerous traces of rust on the bathroom trash can, traces of tobacco on the table positioned on the balcony.

Lovely quiet hotel with the Aube running through the garden. Swimming pool outside at no extra cost. New modern block with cosy room but lovely comfy big beds. The room had a balcony overlooking the river, as it wound through. The shower was great but only minimal shower gel( we should have asked for more?)

We encountered a problem with the bathroom ventilation, which was covered in dust. We spoke to the receptionist about it and they assured us that the necessary would be done, but unfortunately when we returned in the evening the ventilation had not been cleaned. This proves that the message had not been passed on and that customer complaints are not being taken into account.

Great hotel! Nothing to complain about. Pool and location (Nigloland 3 minutes away and Lac d'Orient 20 minutes away). However, our rooms were separated with my husband and children. I recommend calling them before your stay to ask to be next door. But I really recommend this hotel. The decor and cleanliness are top notch. Superb bedding.

We received a Smartbox worth 180 euros, which we used to book an overnight stay including dinner and breakfast. Unfortunately, our experience was generally disappointing. Upon arrival, the welcome was non-existent: we had to wait 30 minutes outside, without any instructions on how to proceed, even though it was very hot and our room wasn't ready. We had also booked access to the spa, but no bathrobe had been prepared in our room, which made access less comfortable. Furthermore, an aperitif taken with dinner was charged an additional 3 euros, without prior explanation. We also regret the lack of information regarding the access codes to the hotel, which complicated our arrival. That said, the bedding was comfortable and the room clean, which we appreciated.

We found this hotel very pleasant for our 2-day summer stopover. There were 4 of us in a suite which had all the comforts, and the air conditioning worked very well. Just a small downside if you look closely at the cleaning (there were a few cobwebs here and there but it's not a big deal for a 2-day stay). The pool was very pleasant too: I think that a parasol should be added because there is only one. Finally, we were generally satisfied with the restaurant where we had dinner one evening but we find that the quality/price ratio is a bit excessive for the gourmet menus at 46€. Indeed, the dishes were good but nothing special, and the dessert was not at all up to scratch (I had a dessert with mangoes and rubbery tartlets and it was not good, without flavor). Also, we think that the price should be revised slightly downwards for this menu. But once again we are generally satisfied.

The manager doesn't accept Virtual Etik Vouchers!!!?? _ Manage to print them during your trip otherwise the manager has a completely childish reaction, he leaves, and leaves you to sort out the problem with the reception....???! Surprising...!? not having succeeded in this rather long operation on my phone, and quite late on my scheduled departure time to arrive on time at another stage, I upload the return vouchers to my home to send them by email to the Hotel... Unheard of, pathetic to the point of laughing, almost...

The hotel is beautiful, both the rooms and the communal spaces. Our room was huge, with a large, comfortable bed, bath, refrigerator and lots of windows. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent - delicious, beautifully presented did and great service. The breakfast was the best we've had in France by far! The staff even procured gluten-free rolls for us (with advanced notice) The only small negative - it would have been nice to be able to check in just a little earlier.

The room was good value for money, with plenty of space, a good mini-fridge, a quiet location, and everything was well-maintained. Breakfast was a bit disappointing; only French bread was available. We weren't expecting a wide variety, but it would have been nice to have a brown bread option. It was also a shame that the cold cuts weren't covered (to keep flies at bay) and the pancakes weren't kept warm.

We have stayed at the Moulin du Landion as a stopover on our way from the UK to Switzerland or vice versa for over 25 years during which time it has changed hands many times but this latest management team have taken it beyond the minimum tolerable level as will become apparent as you read this review. We arrived after a 6 hour drive from Geneva at 15h40 and were told to go away because check-in is not allowed until 16h30. Nowhere in our reservation mentions this it just says please give estimated time of arrival. This has never been a problem at any of our 14 plus stays at this hotel or indeed any other hotel, if the room'ls not ready then you are usually ushered to a lounge area or public room in reception and offered a drink until it is ready. Instead we were told we could sit in the garden for 40 minuts IN A THUNDERSTORM!! Quite frankly this is the worst welcome I've ever received anywhere in the world after staying in more than 400 properties in 85 countries around the world. When we were able to check-in we were more disappointed. Ww had been given a standard double when we had booked a classic twin which was confirmed on the booking. So we were then faced with dismantling the bed into two singles as we had requested. The bathroom smelled strongly of drains which was off putting to say the least. The flush mechanism on the toilet was broken. The tea & coffee making facilitihe's did not iinclude milk of any desvription. The car park has been resurfaced with white chalky limestone chips which make it difficult to use a wheeled suitcase. The restaurant was the only highlight of our stay. We will not be returning!

One of the two rooms booked had suffered water damage to the bathroom ceiling and a strong smell of damp was felt throughout the room. In addition, the room had unfortunately not been cleaned before our arrival or even before our departure despite our two nights spent there. Otherwise, the hotel has a very pleasant outdoor area with a swimming pool.

The Moulin du Landion is conveniently located at the midpoint of our journey from Kent to Evian les Bains. It is a delightful property on the edge of the champagne producing area, carefully restored and modernised but retaining its historical charm. Our room was comfortable and air-conditioned (increasingly necessary in the light of climate change). Dinner and breakfast were both very good as were the staff but they were too few

We like to stay at this hotel on our trips south in the summer. It’s spacious and quiet with lovely grounds. The restaurant is really nice and the breakfast is good. Our rooms were connected by a bathroom and the rooms were really nice with high, beamed ceilings and comfortable beds. Our shower was the only disappointment. It was tiny and impossible to shower properly in, especially for my husband and son.

There were a few drawbacks to note: a very strong sewage smell in the bathroom that permeated throughout the suite, and the room wasn't cleaned during our two-day stay (no more toilet paper!). But I booked it especially because of the combination with the Restaurant and that was very disappointing: Service was not good and for an Gourmet Menue the quality was not as it should be at all. Very beautiful place, unusual, calm and comfortable. The food is very good.

Despite the kindness of the manager upon our arrival, we were disappointed by the room (cleaning was really very approximate, ashtray on the terrace not emptied, welcome book initialed by previous customers and not changed. On the 2nd day and in the absence of the manager the breakfast room was not at all supervised by the staff who were outside in front of the customers quietly smoking while we asked for certain products to be restocked, at the reception the young woman was eating in front of the customers. Cleaning on the 2nd and 3rd day very poorly done in the room, the floor was not even swept! In the corridor leading to the rooms 2 glasses left all day on the 2nd day.

Beautiful establishment, impeccable cleanliness, spacious room, very clean exterior, very good swimming pool, easy access, large parking lot, very friendly, welcoming and smiling staff, excellent cuisine, a stop, or more is a must if you are a fan of quality. There you go.

The grounds were beautiful but needed maintenance and cleaning. The swimming pool needs some love. The one and only parasol almost fell on us. Maybe it was bad timing but we felt they were understaffed and stressed with an event nearby. For example, no ice in our drink or maintenance on a blocked sink when asked. On the plus side, the staff were trying their hardest and were pleasant and friendly.

This former mill, converted into a hotel, is a great value for money. I stayed in a business setting, and I really enjoyed the overnight stay package. The setting is peaceful and surrounded by nature; I highly recommend it.

The hotel and food were certainly fine. However, there was confusion both during dinner in the evening and when settling the bill in the morning. Apparently, the price I had to pay was incorrect, even though it was clearly stated on my booking confirmation. It took far too long to finally have to pay the agreed price, while other people behind us also had to wait. Something probably went wrong on your site, but I shouldn't have to be the victim of that!

Very warm welcome. Room with balcony overlooking the garden, very pleasant. Good bedding. Small downside on the cleaning which is average (kettle not clean, ashtray full on the balcony, bathroom floor and sink, soap dispenser in the spa empty...). We took advantage of the private SPA, very pleasant after a car journey. Really nice hotel setting!

I can imagine that it is difficult for wheelchair users because there are three or four steps up or down to and from each room (in the hallway, to the breakfast room, to the restaurant, to the reception) Of the 5 hotels we have done in the last few years in this area, this hotel was the best and most pleasant in terms of room, bathroom, breakfast, staff, very spacious parking, in short everything OK. Negative points There is one charging station for electric cars to charge, you have to reserve this charging station, best to do so during your booking (which we did not know)

The pool could use a cleaning; it was full of gnats and mosquitoes. The cleanliness of the room's balcony and the restaurant's outdoor area wasn't great. There was no Wi-Fi connection (or access was not provided).

Came for a professional seminar. It was a complete success. Everything was perfect! Plus, the weather was great :)

Having stayed in this hotel several times (family suite, spa suite below, classic room), I was looking forward to coming back with my children and my mother. I already knew suite 2. Always charmed by the exterior of the hotel and good meal the first evening upon arrival but this time very very disappointed with the room: it is impossible to give customers paying more than 700€ for 3 nights such a dirty room and make diapers in less than 5 minutes. We didn't even have toilet paper on the 2nd day, dust so present that it was impossible to put clothes in the wardrobe, cobwebs in the corners and in the wardrobe, dead bee on our arrival and still there on our departure! unwashed cups, fur under the desk, coffee table and so on... I have to be strict in my comments because on the last day I felt so angry that we ate elsewhere and decided not to have breakfast on the day of departure, contrary to what was planned at the beginning. In short, a feeling for this stay of having been had. I don't know if we will come back.

very beautiful setting and beautiful kitchen I would put a flat on the bathroom (almost no more toilet paper and tissues and some chipped tiles) the big downside for me is the curtains not very blackout and suddenly in the morning the sun woke us up quite early

We were welcomed and friendly, we arrived via a Wonderbox. We discovered our spacious room alone (yes, but) 🤔 the VMC, the bathroom closet a little too dusty, and some cobwebs in some corners. For future guests, remember to check the cleanliness of the place. The restaurant is very nice and the dishes and desserts are a great discovery👍

The restaurant lacks qualified staff. They told us themselves that they were not in the profession and were trained on the job. The room is not clean.

Very pleasantly surprised by the renovation. Unfortunately, the table service and the quality of the food were not up to scratch.

We had a lovely stay at the Moulin de Landion. We had 1-hour access to the spa and an excellent evening meal at the hotel restaurant. The room was spacious and clean, but the soundproofing was a minor drawback. We'll be back.

Great and very quiet! Great hotel except there is a problem with the shower because the shower head is broken 😞.

The hotel is perfect, but the bedding in the double room needs to be reviewed as well as the insulation of the rooms.
