A hotel in a charming old building, easy to reach from the motorway, with excellent cuisine in the internal restaurant.
Received a very friendly welcome, very charming hotel. Beautiful rooms with a wonderful (rain) shower. Highly recommended! The restaurant is also highly recommended, nouvelle cuisine. Super tasty for an affordable price. Friendly service, very helpful.
Wonderful experience! The place is very charming, an old building renovated with great taste, even though it's located in the middle of an industrial area. Once inside, you don't realize it. The luxury room is a bit dated but comfortable and clean. It could use a refresh. Excellent restaurant and a good, varied breakfast. Great value for money. Pleasant staff and perfect check-out.

The hotel's location in a former abbey gives it a unique charm. The room is spacious and comfortable, with a separate toilet. Many thoughtful little touches.
Always the best evening, a stopover in Villefranche-sur-Saône. From the welcome to dinner and breakfast, the overnight stay at the Caladoises Abbey is always a success.
We spent a night in a very high-quality establishment, with a very warm welcome and a comfortable room. We had also chosen this place for its restaurant, and we were not disappointed by the food: the cuisine was refined and delicious. Special mention goes to the sweetbreads, simply sublime! However, the service wasn't quite up to the standard of the food. Apart from the young waiter, who was quite professional and attentive, we felt that the young woman and the older waiter were a bit out of step with the restaurant's usual high standards. This is a shame, as it slightly detracted from the experience. Being gluten intolerant, I was disappointed that the waitress couldn't tell me what the sweetbreads were served with (€46 for the dish, no less), simply offering a vague "I think mashed potatoes" or something like that... Similarly, there was no explanation of the dishes when they arrived, and we had to call the older waiter back to ask him to present the cheese selection. I want to emphasize one point: service is a profession in itself, and last night, unfortunately, it didn't live up to the exceptional quality of the food. That said, I was pleasantly surprised the next morning at breakfast to discover that delicious gluten-free bread was available. It would have been thoughtful to mention this to me the night before at dinner; it would have been a very appreciated touch. This establishment has great potential, with remarkable cuisine, and deserves service to match.

Pleasant stopover stay, some points to review. Taps not perfect. Bathtub very slippery. Toilet door that did not close. A king-size bed would have been appreciated, as well as percale sheets. The feel of the waffle duvet cover was not appreciated. Special mention to the very pleasant staff, restaurant welcome and breakfast.
Incomprehensible cuisine on the plate. Self-satisfaction on every level. What a disappointment! I'll spare you the rudeness of the receptionist for being 22 minutes late at checkout. In my opinion, move on. There are much better options nearby.

Although situated in an i dustrial area, the former monastery was certainly worth the stay. The room was spacious and well kept. The beds were good and we slept well. No noice from the outside. Free guarded parking on site was much appreciated. Diner was very good.
L'Abbaye Caladoise est un îlot en pleine zone industrielle, mais elle est un havre de paix et le jardin est magnifique. Le parking sécurisé est un plus, notamment lorsque l'on vient avec une voiture chargée. L'hôtel n'a que 3 étoiles mais en mériterait 4. Le restaurant offre une cuisine traditionnelle qui a elle seule vaut le détour notamment le fameux pâté en croûte et la noix de ris de veau. Portions généreuses en adéquation avec une gastronomie gourmande. Carte des vins peu étoffée mais bien choisie et prix très corrects. Nous reviendrons.
Disappointing room. Impossible to empty the bathtub, no chain. The worst thing was at the restaurant. I asked for a CARAFE of water, which I was charged €2 for without being told that it was chargeable. At reception, they didn't want to know anything!!! As a result, I won't be coming back.
We go back there every time we go down to the South, which is to say how much we appreciate it.

Very nice room, quiet location, good food.
Very beautiful building. Spacious and well-equipped room. Average breakfast. The lady who takes care of breakfast also has to take care of people checking out. She was completely overwhelmed. I asked for eggs and it took 20 minutes…. Too bad because the setting is simply magnificent and it seems that the restaurant is very good.

We had been tempted by the photos of the buildings, but we did not know that they were located in this large commercial zone, so first disappointment, as for the "welcome" of the owner it did not reflect in any way the standing claimed by this establishment, this lady remains seated, hands us our key and points to the elevator with her finger, we ask for help with our luggage, her response is "it is not possible I am alone", it is the first time that this has happened to us, I walk with a cane and my husband will soon be 80 years old, you should know that access to the parking lot is via a corridor strewn with stairs. No special remarks for the room except for dirty windows and a view of the neighboring warehouses. For dinner we are seated with the menu cards, and we wait, finally a pleasant waiter offers us an aperitif, we take our order for the meal, we are served the starter after a wait of 65 minutes watch in hand in a gloomy atmosphere, (lack of staff once again or lack of professionalism), the starter a super sickening foie gras cream, a bad choice, fortunately the pike quenelle was excellent, we did not have dessert because it had to be ordered with the dishes (sic). We leave the restaurant before 11 p.m. following the instructions (see comments from other former residents) the lady at reception royally ignores us as for the chef we only saw him in the HUGE photo of the hall and in articles highlighted in the rooms Fortunately the room is comfortable and the same for the bathroom. Phew, the next morning a superb buffet awaited us for breakfast and the lady in charge of it was HELPFUL and SMILING, as she was also in charge of the bills she organized a direct passage to the exit of the parking lot which allowed us to move around more easily. Our general impression was that we were tolerated and not welcomed, no friendliness.
Dans l'ensemble nous avons été satisfait avec notre séjour à l'hôtel, même si avons trouvé l'emplacement dans une zone industrielle un peu décevant. Ce qui était impossible, pour un restaurant de cette gamme die prix, c'était que la serveuse commence à débarrasser le table et rétirer les verres alors que nous étions encore assis à la table et en train de discuser. Et il n'était que 21.30 h! Ce n'est pas l'hospitalité qu'on attend.

Fabulous hotel with a stunning room. Restaurant was excellent . My only small complaint is that we were not able to purchase drinks on arrival, even though it was obvious another guest had been served. We got our own drinks and sat down outside and watched as the same people were given beer and wine that we allegedly could not purchase. We did not purchase breakfast only one of us would eat it. I was happy to purchase a coffee but was informed that I would have to drink it in our room. I felt that I wasn’t trusted to just drink a coffee while my husband had breakfast. It would have had a 5 plus from me - but not when I am made to feel that way
The food was very disappointing. Both the main meal and the breakfast were very ordinary. The gates didn’t open until 5pm, We arrived mid afternoon and could not get in until a current guest opened a side door for us. The staff were pleasant enough but the experience didnt live up to expectations. No extras like coffee or tea.

Apart from the weather (it rained from the moment we arrived until we left), everything was perfect. The welcome was particularly pleasant and attentive. What can I say about the quality of the food? It is at the height of gastronomy, with great simplicity and diligent and efficient service. In short, we will be back.

Perfect stay. The availability of three electric charging stations (22kW) could be more clearly mentioned. This would make the stay even more comfortable for EV travelers.

2nd stop in this hotel near the highway to the south. The quality of the food is very good, the chef makes very good dishes. The prices are nevertheless high if you don't take a menu, which I can't afford. 45 euros for an excellent Bresse chicken breast with morels for my companion, a little over 30 euros for a turbot fillet on an excellent tabbouleh, it's a bit exaggerated. The staff and service of the restaurant are top. We were lucky enough to eat on the terrace. The pillows are very average, the air conditioning despite us having turned it off made a continuous noise... Unfortunately, some smokers don't move far enough away from the entrance doors, the smoke enters the reception and the breakfast room!!! The welcome on our arrival is not the warmest, when we ask if our reserved room will be quiet and without air conditioning noise!

Quelle surprise que ce magnifique hôtel clos de murs, situé en bordure d'un grand parc d'activités ! Un accueil chaleureux et accueillant. Malgré notre arrivée matinale, la clé de notre chambre nous a été immédiatement remise. La chambre était très spacieuse, luxueuse et dotée d'une excellente literie. Le soir, nous avons dégusté un excellent repas trois services sur la terrasse de la cour, préparé par une équipe chaleureuse et accueillante. Le petit-déjeuner était très copieux et composé principalement de produits frais et locaux. En bref : cet hôtel est vivement recommandé !

In the middle of a craft zone environment, the Logis is like a cocoon of calm with its beautiful old buildings. With this very beautiful setting, the group meal (135) was of high quality with impeccable service. The rooms (few in number) are spacious.

The only downside was a bit of a rude welcome because I didn't know the hotel only opened after 5 p.m. After checking, it's written in tiny print if you look closely. No one should be able to make a mistake. But the place is beautiful and the staff friendly, we've been coming for a long time and will continue. AC.

An exceptional experience in this place, which seems somewhat detached from reality due to the contrast between its geographical location and the serenity that reigns within the hotel. The only downside I would mention was the noise from the plumbing, which persisted throughout the night and prevented me from sleeping properly.
5 PM to check in is quite late. The breakfast is quite basic. The bread and croissants are freshly baked and not from a bakery? I think 20 EUR/person for this breakfast is too much. We are missing a small fridge in the room. The air conditioning didn't seem to be working?
Surprising to find such a peaceful place in an industrial area
a 3 star hotel with no services, no reception, closed all day, which opens the door at 5 p.m. and leaves you in the rain at 4:50 p.m. in front of the door, parking closed at 11 p.m., your car is parked on an unsecured vacant lot. Horrible environment in a commercial and industrial area, very misleading photos, no staff, no reception, ghost hotel closed all day, almost the same key box, worse because the hotel is closed! as there is no one we cannot talk about the professionalism of the teams

Everything ok but we missed a regular sheet on the bed, one towel ( there was only one) and airconditioning didn’t work. The diner was excellent.
