The staff is very kind and professional. The hotel is easy accessible and in a very calm area. The dinner formula exceeded the expectations.

I have been visiting this establishment regularly for more than 20 years, the evening setting has gradually become a stopover given the quality of the services. Lower closure of the restaurant, a few years ago evening stopover room with very dilapidated bathroom, but above all very clear degradation of the quality of reception. The receptionist in place certainly seems overwhelmed, but that should not prevent him from remaining pleasant, particularly haughty and superior. I only think of frequenting this establishment.

The bedding is horrible

When I arrived, I found the hotel a little austere but I quickly changed my mind. Warm, professional welcome, a lovely smile and great availability of staff. I recommend this hotel.

Rooms with mold absolutely not up to a three-star standard

We arrived late but reception was still open, welcoming and helpful. They even opened the bar for us. The family room we had was spacious and comfy. Breakfast was a good choice and good quality too. Staff were very helpful throughout our brief visit.

Damp room, musty smell, and mold stains on the sheets

The staff were welcoming and pleasant.
However the room was disappointing: it was very stuffy and the window would not stay open. Also the bathroom had mouldy walls.
Finally, the WiFi did not work at all which was very disappointing.

Beautifully appointed hotel in peaceful location on the outskirts of lovely coutances.

Er was geen contactdoos voor een stekker voorzien in de badkamer, wat wel nodig is.
De stokbroden waren hard.
De kamerinrichting was verouderd.

Comfortable twin bed room but being elderly did not like being given unsuitable bathroom- high sided bath with shower attachment, would have preferred walk in shower. Very surprised there was no lift.

Stopover evening

We have been coming to this establishment for years and the welcome, staff, rooms, everything is very good.

Hotel very well located, quiet and relaxing, this is the second year that we have come here for the TYL tournament!!! Top and Coffee tea available water + microwave a happiness !!!!

Excellent breakfast. Nice bathroom. On the other hand, the bedding (140 cm) deserves to be enlarged. Finally, there are no outlets on either side of the bed.

A welcome at the top. A very clean hotel. Listening and great availability on the part of the staff. This is our third stay at the hotel. We will come back to it.

My first time in this hotel, and certainly not the last, the hotel is quiet, the staff is welcoming, the rooms are well equipped (small problem, no shower curtain, but that's not a big deal). 15 minutes walk from the cathedral, and around 30 from the station. I recommend this hotel.

Une pause de nuit avant la traversée de la Manche le lendemain, nous voulions qu'une nuit assez confortable. Deçus qu'il n'y avait pas de restaurant sur place le soir, l'effectif de l'hotel m'a fourni avec une liste de restaurants qui acceptent des chiens. Aussi, il a commande un taxi pour l'aller-retour avec des chiens. Tout correspondence était tres bien fait d'un façon amical.

Le face à face continue dans le meme façon. Un accueil tres chaleureux. Une chambre excellente, grande, so confortable, le lit surtout. Le petit déjeuner copieux et l'effectif du matin était aussi chaleureux que la veille et tous sont amateurs des animaux. Les autres clients nous semblaient sympas aussi. Une bonne ambiance là.

La prochaine fois que nous allons par Cherbourg, nous passerons une nuit chez eux. La note méritée est plus que 5 sur 5.

A very welcoming hotel with great facilities and the most helpful and friendly reception staff I’ve met in a while. Really enjoyed staying at this hotel and would have no hesitation in booking another stay.

Comfortable hotel, good value for money, a little away from the city.

Hotel was very good. We particularly liked that there was a coffee machine in lobby to help oneself any time. Also the microwave, table, plates etc in lobby if one wanted to have own snack.
Although there is not full restaurant service, it was possible to have dinner with pre-prepared meals which were very tasty.

Bad smell in the room due to the carpet on the floor Lack of cold cuts at breakfast

We booked this room several months in advance for our night in Coutances. When we arrived we were immediately charged for the room and the next day we understood the reason. Our room smelled very strongly of humidity. It bothered us all night to sleep especially as it generated dampness in the bed. The toilets were not clean (faecal traces in the bowl). Cracked basin, shower gel container on the ground not repaired, squeaky shower hose. And to finish by opening the curtains of the windows we discovered that the carpet was completely moldy including the walls which we had not seen when arriving at night. Obviously the VMC did not work. Given the condition, the hotel staff was obviously aware of it and we think we were asked to pay the day before to avoid any dispute the next morning. Congratulations for the honesty... We were factual and fortunately the hotel agreed not to charge for breakfast and to reduce the bill by 50% for one night still charged 174 euros. In short, the hotel is clearly not up to standard to charge so much per night. We will not be returning and will not recommend.

The hotel is located in the middle of a green setting within easy reach of the center of Coutances, and 10 km from the sea.

Decent stay

Dirty, horribly dirty the corridor carpet is very filthy, needs to be changed or washed Damp the air is not changed and/or dehumidified, at my request I was kindly provided with a bag of salts unfortunately completely insufficient I was asked to pay in advance , if I hadn't paid I wouldn't have stayed It's not a 3-star lower category hotel

The place where the hotel stands is quiet and surrounded by greenery. Unfortunately the rooms are old and neglected, as is the cleanliness

Very warm welcome!! I injured myself and they treated me, super efficient!! THANK YOU 😄 really!! Only downside customers do not retain their doors and it slams! We can quickly realize this and retain these doors! Thank you for the neighbors 😉 a little civility!! Especially when we sleep 😴 We will go back 😁

Ras, everything went very well. Perfect welcome

Very welcoming hotel, in an excellent position near the center, but quiet with a garden. Ample free parking. Very smiling and helpful staff. Very spacious and clean room with comfortable bed. Large and very clean bathroom.

Stayed one night. The lady at reception was lovely and welcoming. We booked a prestige double room for well over 100 euros with breakfasts and had the following issues:

- No air conditioning!

- Mould spots on the ceiling

- Blinds do not block out the light well.

- Broken fixtures in the bathtub and no way to keep the shower head above your own head.

- Very little toiletry accessories (no cotton buds, no shampoo, only a single tiny soap to share for two).

- Weak water pressure. 

- A tiny single bottle of water in a room booked for two persons.

- No extras (no tissues, don't expect a mint or little chocolate).

Une nuitée. La dame à l'accueil était charmante et accueillante. Nous avions réservé une chambre double prestige pour au moins 100 euros avec petits déjeuners et avons les observations suivantes:

- Pas de climatisation !

- Taches de moisissure au plafond

- Les rideaux ne bloquent pas bien la lumière.

- Accessoires cassés dans la baignoire et aucun moyen de garder la pomme de douche au-dessus de votre tête.

- Très peu d'accessoires de toilette (pas de cotons-tiges, pas de shampoing, un seul tout petit savon à partager à deux).

- Faible pression d'eau.

- Une petite bouteille d'eau dans une chambre réservée pour deux personnes.

- Pas d'extras (pas de mouchoirs, ne vous attendez pas à une menthe ou à un chocolat sur l'oreiller).

Very friendly staff, very good service, comfortable beds, very quiet, beautiful garden. It takes about 20 minutes to go to the village, beautiful brasserie right next to the cathedral. We'd love to come back!

We didn’t realise there wasn’t a restaurant but we’re told that we could use their tables if we brought a pizza back which we did. We asked if there was a bar, to which they replied “yes”. It was very disappointing as there was no draught beer and only one choice of a white wine. I did find this extremely disappointing for a French bar. There was a large group having a meal but apparently this service wasn’t available to us??
Having said that, the room was clean but one light didn’t work.

A defective lamp in the room, the absence of product in the shower. For the rest we are very satisfied with this hotel where we were able to rest after a particularly trying day.

Perfect hotel if you need to be in this area or if you have to pass through here. Friendly welcome and very helpful. Room and bathroom okay. Coffee, etc. available for free. Ample parking in front of the door.

In all sincerity, the photos on Booking do not correspond to the hotel, the room was really ugly and not maintained, the curtain did not close properly and the outside light entered the room. Electrical outlet that does not work... At night the person who monitors the hotel comes with his dog who barks in the middle of the night.

Have used this hotel many times and always very satisfied. It's in a quiet part of town with good parking and an ideal stop-over or a base to explore the local attractions.
