Warm welcome, ideally located
Top-notch, super-pleasant, smiling staff
A truly perfect and attentive welcome. It was a pleasure to wake up with a view of the Somme Bay. Excellent value for money.
Does not deserve its 3 stars, because apart from the bar and the dining room, our room was very dated. On the one hand, it argues about the sea view, which is in fact only a small window of about 65x85 cm. As for the room, fortunately the bedding was good, but several points are to be noted: dilapidated laminate flooring which is overshadowed in several places, the armchairs show signs of wear, the telephone line does not work. The front door has a damaged lock plate and is difficult to open. Regarding the bathroom, it is lamentable: old shower cubicle with traces of dirt and rust; the baseboards at the base of the shower tray are stained, the whole thing would definitely deserve to be replaced. The hairdryer does not work, no toilet gel in the bottle located in the shower. In short, a service that does not correspond to the price asked!!!

Very pretty setting, prime location, very beautiful view. Not much to say about the quality of the service, which isn't bad, but there's a big gap between the desired standard and the customer experience. The value for money is out of line with what one would have expected.

Establishment more than adequate at all levels
Accommodation was simple but comfortable but we were only staying one night. We had the half board package which suited our needs with a lovely evening meal and a very good breakfast. It is ideally situated to explore the town and has a lovely view over the river and marshes from the terrace and dining room. Our room also overlooked the same view and we saw the most lovely sunrise. Only problem was finding a parking space which took the edge of what was a good stay. We made the mistake of arriving on a Saturday, on a French Bank Holiday weekend at high season. The town is not short of spaces but it was just very busy. We ended up having a 25 min walk from where we left the car. However any other time would probably be ok, there were spaces outside the hotel Sunday morning so we feel we were just unlucky with timing.
Horribly expensive, very poor service

It's way too expensive for what it is. The rooms are small, the floor wasn't done: there was still sand on it when we arrived. The toilets smell musty, no air conditioning or fan even though we were in the attic. The windows were open but the noise prevented us from sleeping properly. I do not recommend this hotel at all.
Pleasant stay in a perfectly equipped, spacious and renovated apartment. Very quiet. Not recommended for people with reduced mobility because of the stairs to access the bedroom/bathroom upstairs. Be careful on the website to specify its location, which is not that of the hotel but nearby.
Small room, but clean and well located. Small bathroom, with a shower whose access was tiny (40cm) and very high. Breakfast with food exposed to full sun: no refrigerator counter (I found rancid butter).
No parking. Had to park nearby but everything is full. For our part, it's 900 m away. Not very practical with luggage and children.

Lack of comfort and finishing in the room... partially painted baseboard, unfinished wall covering, broken toilet board. What can I say about breakfast: malfunctioning coffee and juice machine... 1/2 hour wait for bacon and eggs, tables next to each other while the restaurant was almost empty.

I posted a review on Google. We received a poor reception. We used a Smartbox to book, and the owner treated us like imposters. The room is just okay; it's hot. The stairs are dirty. At breakfast, the puddings were moldy. Not recommended.

We found the price expensive compared to the quality of the hotel which as a whole is quite old! The bathroom is very small, especially the shower, a person of large build would not have been able to get into the shower. However, I would like to emphasize the cleanliness of the room. The meals, a little expensive for the price.
Very well located and a beautiful view of the bay especially at sunrise
Had a very nice stay at this hotel and meal in the restaurant. The only down side if there is one is there is no secure parking or lift if you have mobility issues. Other than that the hotel is great, good location great staff.
The room was fairly small. Could have been cleaner. Cups dusty. Corridors and stairwell tired and dated. Staff unhelpful. No parking directly at the hotel. On street public parking is not cheap. Don't bother paying 19 euro for breakfast. No hot bacon just an empty container. Scrambled egg full of black pepper and had been standing around. Other food was open to the air and flies. Staff were not very welcoming and spoke no English.

Following a misunderstanding when booking. The rate was higher upon arrival.. But a small discount for breakfast! No shower gel in the bottle.. But overall a pleasant night and a very nice view from the room
The room (studio) that was allocated to us was not in the hotel itself (which was not indicated when booking online) and we had to cross the city with our luggage to get there. The cleanliness left something to be desired (dust sheets, very dirty entrance door, window frames eaten away by humidity and letting air and noise through, no mattress protectors...), the equipment was outdated (stained and broken armchairs, shower cubicle that was falling apart, rusty towel rail above the toilet, no clothes rack or wardrobe, no hairdryer...). As we were not in the hotel, there was no direct customer service if needed. All this for a price of 149 euros per night, and we had booked two nights! In the restaurant, the staff were apparently unprofessional (poor service, numerous reminders needed to receive requests, familiar, even contemptuous attitudes) and the cleanliness was more than questionable (floors not cleaned from the day before during breakfast, chairs stacked near the breakfast buffet, etc.).
Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The restaurant serves fresh produce. The room was a good size, but the bathroom was a bit cramped.
A comfortable hotel in an idyllic location.
This isn't my first time at this establishment. I appreciate the friendliness, the location, the quality of the service, the quality of the welcome, the conviviality, and the well-being.
I liked the welcome and the service as well as the overall value for money. For the meal at the restaurant, I particularly liked the salmon carpaccio, not too salty, firm and smoked perfectly, as well as the mille-feuille with pistachio, red fruits and Espelette pepper. Great cuisine at a reasonable price. The setting is magnificent. It's May, a lovely digestive walk on the seafront to enjoy the sunset at the end of the meal in a magical atmosphere. The calm, far from the fury of the city, a real joy. I am under its spell.

We booked a room expecting a view of the Somme Bay. We ended up in an attic room with rooftop views. To access it, you have to go through the reserve and near the staff rooms. When you ask why the wifi code doesn't work, you are told that it doesn't work in this part of the establishment.
When we arrived, the person who welcomed us was not very friendly and spoke in a dry tone. However, at breakfast we had to deal with another person who was very friendly, smiling and welcoming.

This time, and unlike last year, we were disappointed by the food (menus changed) and pleasantly surprised by the room (which was recently renovated). Quiet room, beautiful view of the bay, good bedding (160cm bed, superior room). Menus with less choice. Menu (excluding drinks) at 30€ a little simple, basic (country terrine or fish, ficelle picarde or mussels, crème brûlée or ice cream!), or after menu at 37€ or 59€, (to have at least basic). Good service with the little waitress at dinner, on the other hand her colleague gets very agitated and talks loudly, even about the kitchens! It would be more suitable for a brasserie, than for this quiet hotel restaurant, which wants to be a little more upscale. Same in the morning, we want to have lunch in peace, and not necessarily have the waitress who prepares the tables for lunch, around us. Especially at 19€ the breakfast buffet! It remains a good address, especially with a good geographical location.

The food at the restaurant was the worst that we have had for a long time. My husband has mussels which he said were the worst he had ever tasted and my vegetarian risotto was just risotto rice with a few boiled veg on top

Beautiful location, very good quality catering, good three-stage evening menu. A little disappointed by the room, cramped and equipped with two small beds pushed together which is unpleasant as a bed and leaves little space to move around in the room. It would also be necessary to install blackout curtains to block out the outside night lights.
Unfortunately, the cleaning was not done except for changing the sheets and towels. Lots of dust on the floor and on surfaces, trash can not emptied, paper on the floor, hair, stain on the blanket. We reported this problem the same evening of our arrival.

A perfect little weekend, with a beautiful view of the Bay of Somme from the room. The restaurant is very welcoming, with excellent mussels with samphire. The staff is very friendly.

Nice little room, comfortable bed but it creaks, the locker room is hard to close, dust on the frames and light, cobwebs on the ceiling and bathroom side, the shower and sink are spotless except for the toilet, lots of limescale, then dirty on the floor (hair and a pipette of eye wash under the sink then the shower door was not adjusted so water on the floor. There is a lack of cleaning and cleanliness where the rest was perfect

I find the prices a bit excessive and the hotel is more of a 2 star. €19 for breakfast: much too expensive for the service: canteen jam, a raw croissant pushed 1 per person, fruit juice from the machine, powdered omelette, neglected carafe of cold milk. The dinner is good the chef is a professional: risotto, sea bass, lamb…. €9 a glass of Petit Chablis a sweet joke!!! And the negative point the catering service 👎a lot of work for a discreet exchange without shouting, and a more sustained oral expression

Arrival 6pm… Very cold welcome, a “hello” that we can barely hear and when we give our reservation name, the receptionist tells us “ah, I was going to call you, we had a problem, your room is not free, you will be in a studio”… the famous studio mentioned in a previous negative comment! We refuse, and ask to be accommodated where we have reserved, she sighs while searching in the drawer of the bar for the keys to the studio located 50m from the hotel and grumbling, she tells us that if it poses a problem the management is in the office behind the reception. We call out to the manager, who is just as cold, who does not understand that we wanted the reserved room even if it means dislodging the people who have already settled in 5 minutes before our arrival. He tries to make us feel guilty because the other customer has crutches, and that it was therefore up to us to go and sleep outside the reserved hotel room. We let him know that this was typically the kind of review you find on the internet, he doesn't understand, for him it's false, he's never seen this kind of review and knows his job. We do not recommend this hotel, the room was spacious, but dusty and the staff was not welcoming! Despite this, the hotel is well located!

We were very well received when we arrived, the hostess also gave us advice for our weekend. The hotel is very well located with direct access to the pedestrian streets of St Valery. We took the small room facing the bay. very comfortable bedding, facilities ++ the restaurant is great! from the meal to the very generous breakfast. The tasting menu included in the half board is incredible! I enjoyed the sauerkraut from the sea. The service was also top notch (thank you Corentin for your sense of service and your smile) in short, it was a great stay.

A pleasant stay despite uncertain weather.
Charming hotel with a view of the bay, just a downside on the parquet floor. otherwise don't forget to close the shutters, they are electric shutters I didn't know otherwise nothing to say. Just that parking is paid, from 7 p.m. it is free until 9 a.m. the next morning after which the rates are affordable
Correct in the overall service for two reasons: - the rooms are poorly soundproofed but you have to be realistic and understanding, this is linked to the way in which the buildings were constructed in the past. - the price / service ratio is completely correct. Small downside on the price of consumption which is a little high.
Very dirty
We did not receive the room requested. We were in an apartment for 6 people and under the roof. Our request was sea view room. And our view was of rooftops. Very disappointed because if there were no more rooms as requested, we could have been told at the start.

The hotel is very clean and perfectly located. Breakfast well served. The bed is good.. Er the amber very clean. The view of the bay is a real plus. However, I regret that in the restaurant a frozen fish listed on the menu is served without informing us. We would have completely understood if we were told that the product was missing.
