Located in the heart of George Sand country, the Lion d’Argent is close to many tourist attractions with a 50-km radius, offering the chance of a wonderful holiday for you. We have listed all the places of interest in six circuits on specific themes, so you can be sure of fitting in all the places of interest to you: The George Sand and Chopin circuit, taking in sites and landscapes that inspired this romantic couple. Romanesque churches, including the Basilica of Neuvy-Saint-Sépulchre. History of France with the sites of Meillant, Aynay le Viel and Châteauneuf sur Cher Fully-preserved nature zones, to be covered on foot only. The Berry Champagne region and its amazing plains planted with cereals conceal some magical places: raised stones (reminiscent of Stonehenge) and amazing museums like the Vatan Circus Museum. The Creuse Valley, its rolling hills that don't quite make mountains and merrily bubbling brooks, fuelled the founders of the Impressionist movement with inspiration. The Lion d'Argent also offers various sports activities: rambling, mountain biking, cycling, motor-racing on the La Châtre racing-track, golf, horse-riding, fishing and geocaching.

Le covid n'excuse pas tout.
Le chauffage a la dernière seconde. Il faut plusieurs heures pour réchauffer la chambre.
Pas de service repas. Pas d'indication pour manger à part la pizzeria à côté. Même pas le menu. Pas de micro ondes disponibles pour réchauffer un plat.
Un petit déjeuner avec le pain racie de l'éveil.
Et des places de parking en épi dans le sens inverse à la route.
Et pour le wifi, on repassera. C'est tout juste bon à synchroniser les messages sur le téléphone.

Le personnel est vraiment très attentionné. Les chambres sont très propres et bien équipées (clim et petit frigo notamment). La salle de bain mériterait dêtre modernisée. Le restaurant propose des menus raffinés à des prix raisonnables.

Petite chambre, qui donne au Rez de chaussée sur un rond point. Impossible d’ouvrir les fenêtres , trop de circulation . Rien à voir avec les images présentées sur Booking.com!
Très belle étape dans cet hôtel, avec un bel emplacement en proximité de rivière, et un excellent restaurant avec un service parfait!
Très sympa dans son ensemble. Les croissants ,qui sont excellents, disparaissent un peu trop vite de la corbeille le matin. Les chambres manquent un peu d'espace et la vue côté cour n'est pas terrible, mais, rien ne manque et le calme règne ,ce qui est important.Le restaurant est agréable er c'est bon. Le personnel aimable dans son ensemble fait qu'on est très décontracté au lion d'argent !
Chambre propre et literie confortable mais très allergène. Salle de bain propre mais très peu fonctionnelle. Accueil peu sympathique et chaleureux. Petit déjeuner peu varié et buffet débarrassé extrêmement tôt.
