Very pleasant hotel, large veranda for meals, large magnificent garden, room with two balconies overlooking the garden, direct access to the small shop in the center, port and beach just a stone's throw away. For my part I go back as soon as I can.
An Enchanted Parenthesis…
Love this hotel, this was the third time we stayed here and it did not disappoint. The staff are very attentive without getting in the way, great quality throughout but retaining a real feel for the history of the building and the town. Always welcoming and friendly, Valentine was very helpful. The rooms are beautiful, very clean and warm. Finally breakfast was excellent with a good variety of food and drinks, the freshly made pancakes were a lovely surprise.
2nd stay in this hotel, as friendly as ever, great welcome, in the heart of St Vaast, near the fishing port. Great breakfast. Beautiful coastal hikes in the surrounding area, all while tasting the good oysters of St Vaast, in short a little moment of happiness.

Magnificent exterior, too bad the hotel is a little in its original state, in need of refreshment. When we arrived there was a strong smell of urine in the bathroom, which was still present two days later. We found a pair of glasses under the bed! . Otherwise the bedding is quality and we had a good welcome.

The hotel with its wonderful garden was really great in every respect. Humanely warm, authentic and loving. Every morning we looked forward to breakfast with homemade jam, honey and cake. The beautiful natural and well-kept garden invited you to linger. We had several rooms which were very well maintained and invite you to linger. All in all it was a wonderful stay in a great setting. We will be back definitely.

Old-fashioned bathroom (no shower, only a bathtub, the hose is too short to wash standing up).. cleanliness not great (toilet and carpet) ... breakfast a little tight for 16€ (more pain au chocolat, no scrambled eggs) The value for money not at all up to par for 230€ per night.....
This is a delightful hotel conveniently situated near the harbour with restaurants and bars. The rooms have been renovated to a high standard although some are quite small but quite adequate for a short stay. It does not have a lift. The staff are welcoming and very helpful. Breakfast was adequate but supplemented daily with interesting and tasty pancakes delivered by the charming waiter. Parking is available but not at the hotel itself being about 250 metres away - okay if you have no mobility issues and it's not raining. The other rather weird aspect is that the hotel closes up at 8pm (access by coded lock) with internal doors locked and no-one is on duty there. This makes contact with guests staying in the annex rather difficult.

For the 2nd year we have stayed at this hotel. Everything is charming, the reception, the garden, the breakfast and the room. An exceptional moment outside of time. We loved it

This is our 3rd visit over several years., Sadly the kitchen was closed of which we had been warned in advance. The bistro suggested served an unsatisfactory menu of very poor overcooked moules and very cold frites.. we complained!

Warm welcome when we arrived. The room is large with plenty of natural light from both large and small windows. Kettle so we were able to make tea and coffee. Very unusual décor, all well done. Comfortable bed.

Charming establishment
Tiny attic room on the 2nd floor, announced 14m2 but 1/2 passable without being folded in 2! Very disappointed given the description and the price charged. Small dog charged 15€ per night, it is also expensive for the cm2… Too bad because the bed which occupies 80% of the space is very comfortable. The breakfast saved our stay a bit, we couldn't take advantage of the restaurant which was closed. Wifi connection impossible, no network in the room.

Hotel very good, charm of the old but would require a little refreshment. Good room, too bad the 160 bed is made up of 2 80 cm beds. In the middle it's not super comfortable...😉 Top breakfast! I recommend this hotel with a beautiful garden, in the heart of Saint Vaast, quiet (room on the garden) and 2 steps from the port.

This is a very nice hotel just a short walk from shops, restaurants and the sea front fishing harbour. The room we occupied for the one night was very comfortable with a comfortable large bed. Also staying that night was a large group of French Canadians who almost filled the breakfast room, but service was still adequate.

Hard to believe those gardens exist between the neighbouring streets where the various Fuchsias buildings are located, creating a quite unique conservatory dining room alive with greenery, a memorable setting for breakfast!

Very good hotel
Reservation for a Stages evening (being on a business trip, normal!). 2 days before, the hotel informs me that they have no more places in the restaurant! Then arrived at the hotel I discover room 3, worthy of a Maid's room. A single bed (I felt like I was back in my student life), a bathroom where you can't sit on the toilet without bumping into the wall, the shower is better very skinny to fit in! The very uncomfortable bed, a 10 cm thick mattress on a slatted base, with each movement an impression that the base was going to break. A blanket from the 80s! A room with an area less than 10 m2. Then find a restaurant on a Tuesday evening in St Vaast la Hougue! Very complicated. No help from reception. Finally no wifi network so impossible to work. And for the ponpon no Orange 4g network in the city. For the sum of 70€. Very disappointed and I wonder where the 3 stars are! Hotel to avoid for business trips. I will not come back.

Hotel full of charm nestled in the heart of a very pretty garden of palm trees, old trees, fuchsias and agapanthus.. Magnificent glass roof in the dining room, in the heart of nature. Smiling welcome by a young team. Room with old and elegant decoration. Only regret, the restaurant, a single menu without too much choice, what a pity, we had come there some time ago and the dishes were excellent and original. Moment of calm and serenity out of time...
A charming, peaceful place and an incredible city garden. The staff is very pleasant and smiling. Long live the climbing fushias and the ficus on the veranda! A real curiosity. In short, a very high quality stay that does honor to our Val de Saire!

A fun hotel to stay at, with rooms arranged around central courtyard garden, which was very pleasant. Rooms clean but tired and dated decor. That in itself is fine but pillows were all extremely lumpy and all bedding needs to be replaced asap. Housekeeping cutting corners by tucking duvet and sheets in together, so when you get into bed the sheet I ticks at the same time and you have to remake your bed (not easy with ill fitting sheets).

The hotel is charming and the gardens exceptionally lovely. We stayed for two nights in a large, airy room which was newly refurbished with everything you could wish for… except somewhere to hang clothes. There was a rail with a few hangers but it was positioned so close to the floor it wasn’t a lot of use. The second two nights were in a much smaller room, nicely decorated… both rooms had huge, super-comfortable beds. The shower room in the second room was very small and could do with a refurb but we were very happy with it overall. Breakfast in the garden was a delight although the buffet could perhaps be more varied and it is totally self service. We ate at the restaurant one one evening and enjoyed the food but found the overall experience a little formal for our personal taste. We did book the second two nights at the last minute… couldn’t tear ourselves away… and, I think, got the last available room. Staff were very kind and helpful.

Very good reception, very good situation. Two negative points - the access staircase to the 1st floor of the bedrooms is very narrow, the steps are narrow. Very difficult or even dangerous access - to avoid the propagation of noise between rooms, the sound level of televisions is very low and the sound is practically inaudible

A quaint old French house in a good location but very tired & in desperate need of some updates, the stairs to the upstairs bedroom in the main house are so steep they could be dangerous to older people. The restaurant for dinner was good but the outside patio furniture & untidy garden area needs work, plus the breakfast was very basic but fine. Very little choice other Hotels in this pretty coastal town .... basically its a older style B&B with a good evening restaurant.
The place has no charm and is very different from what was advertised….NO stay in the “ castle like “ property…Appartement cold , charmless and a tad
dysfunctional ( e.g. bedroom upstairs , toilet downstairs..) ..Place is bare , not even a plastic glass in the bathroom, TV set the size of a stamp and so on ..
The bath towels are designed for very small people and have been used 3000 times….Welcoming desk mediocre.. Nohelp with the luggage ect ect..
