We booked this hotel, because last year we found the restaurant to be excellent, However, this time, we weren’t informed that the hotel restaurant would be closed, until about 2 hours before arrival, by telephone. When we raised this with the receptionist, she said it was booking.coms fault, not the hotels. We were informed that there was a restaurant about two minutes walk away. As my wife has poor mobility we proposed to drive. However we then found that the car park was locked. Again, we weren’t told about this by the receptionist, or how to open the gate.
The room was OK but a little cramped. The shower and heating were very good.
The breakfast room was cramped. Freshly squeezed orange juice machine was excellent.
Wi-Fi connection was very poor and kept failing.

We chose a great hotel because it had a restaurant. Unfortunately, there was a group and a wedding. The recommended restaurant was sold out. We ended up eating at the brasserie across the street. We were woken at 3:00 a.m. by departing wedding guests. Breakfast was okay, but due to the wedding setup, it wasn't served in the cozy room.

I've been here for the second time and I'm very satisfied! I'll be back soon.

We received a very warm and professional welcome at the reception desk. However, it turned out that the restaurant is closed on weekend evenings (this was indeed indicated on the website, but we hadn't noticed). The receptionist called two restaurants for us, but reservations were no longer possible. While we waited, she arranged some specialty beers from the restaurant that was rented out. On her recommendation, we ate at the brasserie across the square, and it was exceptionally good. In short, a very good hotel with dedicated and friendly staff. The only downside was that the mattress was too firm for us.

Bathroom not spotless: hair and dust on the floor under the sink cabinet and behind the door. The rest is fine.

A nice location. Everything I needed was there. Excellent service at the restaurant. Delicious food. The staff allowed us to practice our French and helped us when we got stuck. All the staff were very professional.

We were expecting a smaller, family-run hotel. The hotel seems to be geared toward tour groups. The restaurant is highly recommended, but the ambiance is a matter of taste.

We stopped at Hotel Aster for one night on our trip between Calais and Alsace. Our room was attractive, functional and clean. The bed was comfortable and the location in the town of Briey was quiet, so we had a good night’s sleep. Breakfast included a variety of both cold and hot items. The highlight of our stay was dinner, which was excellent, and there was entertainment that night in the restaurant in the form of a “crooner” singing American and European songs from the 1950s and 1960s. The lady on the reception desk spoke excellent English and was very helpful. We would certainly stay at Hotel Aster again!

Very pleasant Logis Hotel, newly renovated room, very comfortable. Pleasant setting. I recommend, small downside on the breakfast which I find a little too "old-fashioned" in presentation and choice, but good products.

Ideally located, this establishment has been completely renovated. The rooms are comfortable and perfectly soundproofed. The staff is very attentive, helpful, and available. The restaurant is worthy of a bistronomic or even gourmet restaurant. The breakfast is generous and very varied (sweet, savory), eggs, smoked salmon, brioche cakes, pastries... in short, nothing is missing. We will definitely come back 👍

The staff at this hotel are very welcoming and helpful. The bed was super comfortable, the room clean and the shower hot & powerful. What makes this place special is the restaurant - the staff were truly exceptional and the food was delicious! Terrific choice on the menu. Do have a drink on the terrace - it’s delightful!

Second stay at this hotel. Excellent staff. Just used hotel as an overnight on long journey but more than adequate for that.

Quiet and well located hotel.

The 3rd bed (sofa bed) is too small for an adult. Unfortunately, although I am loyal to the hotel, I will not book this hotel again if my son comes with us. Sewer smell, pipe noise during the night. Too bad not to be able to have a last drink (9:30 p.m.) at the bar on Valentine's Day even if we have not reserved a table at the restaurant.

Superb charming and clean hotel located on the water's edge. Smiling and pleasant staff. (Special mention to the evening waiters who are professional and discreet) Room and bathroom nickel. Bedding ok and courtesy tray. Dinner in the evening stopover quite correct. Breakfast buffet a little light. You have to search a little for the products (I had not seen the bread hidden in a corner) ATTENTION: If you are on a romantic weekend I recommend. But if you are a business traveler and want to work on your emails run away !! The wifi is more than capricious and the hotel is located in a basin so the operators do not pass.

To call that kitchen gourmande … is a huge joke. Maybe four chefs ago .. ??
The rooms were very nice and clean- but don’t eat dinner there…never … we had half board - the meat was burned black … and we asked for a bottle of wine of the house … saw later on the bill they have charged 33€ for an ordinary bottle of wine …. breakfast was fine and all staff was friendly. So recommend the hotel for sleeping:)

This hotel has nice neat rooms and bathroom. Beds slept wonderfully. Breakfast was very extensive. Restaurant was closed on Sunday without knowing that. But in the village there are enough restaurants where you can have a bite to eat and the area is very beautiful. The staff was very friendly. Great hotel to stay overnight as a stopover.

Excellent dinner in a super setting by the lake - marred by the breakdown in service which meant that our dinner took nearly three hours! Other diners were similarly inconvenienced.
The maitre d apologised and explained that there were “problems”.

This is not the first time we have stayed at this hotel, I was a bit put off because when we arrived, we wanted to settle our bill straight away, and what a surprise when we saw the bill, the prices were not the same as when we booked on the website. Of course I told the reception. I don't think that's very correct!!!

The lady at reception in the mornings was unfriendly. In addition, we had given the hotel a pouch containing my husband's insulin, to keep in the refrigerator. The morning of our departure, no more pouch, no more insulin!! After 20 minutes of research, it was noted that this pouch had been given, by mistake, to another customer who left the day before. This lady at reception attributed the error to a young woman serving breakfast, which is completely false! The customer to whom we gave our insulin pouch attested to this. In short, we lost an hour to collect this insulin from this client. Luckily the rest of the staff were lovely. Nice place, well maintained and well located

Average restaurant service and poorly soundproofed room

Great hotel for us to stay in on our way to Switzerland. Room was clean and the bed was comfy as was the pillows. Didn’t eat in the hotel at night only had breakfast.

Great stay at this hotel. The setting is green. Small stream in front of the hotel. Lake next to it. View of fountain while eating (evening stopover). Large free parking lot. Late arrival possible with the machine outside. The meal was very good. The room is clean, spacious, the lighting is great. The staff is super welcoming, smiling and professional. Honestly, I'm delighted to have found this nugget. I will come back for my next professional trip with pleasure.

Slightly unusual context, we were at a wedding 20 minutes from the hotel (very good location) and there was also a wedding planned at the hotel. Everything went well. The hotel staff allowed us to have lunch on Saturday noon upon our arrival and we were also able to have breakfast the next day. Very good adaptability, thank you!

Very nice experience, the value for money is unbeatable.

The common areas and the rooms have been completely renovated, a very nice achievement! Indirect lights, quality of materials, it's very pleasant. I would have liked a little decoration in the room (photos, paintings) but that's a detail ;) The breakfast is complete, we can deplore some products "in plastic", but there are also fresh products, cakes homemade, fruit salad, the whole thing is very good. The staff is pleasant and professional, which is appreciated.

Upon arrival, Friday 8 March, we were greeted by a very pleasant and charming man on reception. We had a lovely meal at which the waiting staff were also very happy and helpful. The room represented good value for money.

Catering, room, taxi service, everything is impeccable and remarkably professional! Everything driven by Spitoni father and son, an establishment that I highly recommend!! Excellent value for money!! Magnificent rooms renovated!

Charming hotel and very pleasant welcome: the team is keen to welcome customers with as much help as possible. Quality restaurant. Free private parking is a plus. I hope I can stay longer next time.
