Logis Château des Tourelles

This is a pleasant hotel in a quiet small village. What separates it from other similar hotels is the high level of personal service. The lounge becomes a place to meet other guests, to enjoy an aperitif, an after-dinner drink.

Two dinner menus, one good-value for weekdays and the other excellent and still good value. A decent selection of wines to accompany the food.

Note that are a few steps on the way to the entrance and some rooms may not be lift-accessible.

We have stayed at this hotel on many occasions. It is a friendly, well appointed hotel offering excellent facilities.

Good food

Our 5th visit to this hotel with our dogs. The proprietor is always happy and smiling and the staff most welcoming. The food is superb. My only teeny-weeny criticism is that the room we were in was rather tired and in need of some tlc, though it was spotlessly clean! We will be using this hotel again as it's convenient for the ferry or tunnel and is a real final treat in France before returning to the UK.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was a short distance from Calais and we had excellent dinners and indeed looked forward to our dinner on our return on the journey home.

We always stay at this hotel on our visits to France. It is in an ideal location for our first and last evenings as we use the shuttle to cross the Channel The journey to Calais is easy by autoroute and very attractive cross country. It is so good we are thinking of using the hotel for a short visit to the area. The decor of the rooms very much matches the style of the Chateau and the welcome and level of service is second to none.

Always a pleasure to stay here before getting the ferry back to England

The staff were warm, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent. The room accommodation was clean but basic and dated. I found the bed uncomfortable.

Charming place with very welcoming staff, very close to the RN42. We didn't have the opportunity to try the restaurant, but it will be for a future stay!

The friendliness and efficiency of staff was top class. Our every need was met and always with kindness and a smile. The decor of the room was a little tired but its cleanliness was fine. The bathroom, whilst a shower attachment was provided, did not have an overhead shower which was a little less than expected, but a beautiful bath was provided. The bathroom was very clean also. The dining room was beautiful and the food was even better. For anyone seeking a fine dining experience at a fair price, this hotel would be perfect. It is in a beautiful area with plenty of easy parklng which is located at the back of the hotel.

We've stayed here many times over the years and have always enjoyed ourselves. We are always given a warm welcome and the food and service are exceptional.

Old room, which requires renovations. Numerous malfunctions (water leaks in the bathroom, very deteriorated baseboards and door sill, damp carpet, insufficient toilet drainage,...............) Tennis court difficult to use...............

We've been staying here on the last night of our holidays since 2018 (bar the 2 Covid years).
The food is great, the staff are always friendly and welcoming, the accommodation is fine and it is just 30 minutes from the tunnel or port at Calais.

Fabulous room. Spotlessly clean. Have stayed here several times on our way back to the UK and really liked it. The staff are friendly, the restaurant is excellent and the whole ambience of the place is great. They welcome dogs, which is a bonus as we have two elderly ones and it seems, after having conversations with other residents, that many are repeat visitors.

A regular overnight stop over ahead of our return to the UK, Chateau des Tourelles never disappoints. A charming hotel providing a quality service throughout. A warm, friendly welcome & aperitifs in the lounge are a prelude to an excellent dining experience. A choice of 2 well-priced set menus or à la carte are on offer, all dishes from which are a delight. Front of house leads a great team with enthusiasm & a smile, where nothing is too much trouble. We can't recommend this hotel enough.

As always, we had a great meal in the evening and great service from everyone. Unfortunately, the standard of the room is not good enough and spoils the stay.

Great hotel location that is only 30 mins drive to Calais and situated in a nice quiet village. Staff are fantastic. Friendly and very welcoming. The evening meal was superb and the service provided is excellent. This really is a nice hotel and the seating areas both inside and outside the hotel are lovely. The rear terrace area is large and provides a nice quiet place to sit and enjoy a pre and post meal drink. I will definitely stay here again!

A gem of a place to stay when using the Channel Tunnel. Clean room and lovely evening meal.

The hotel was very welcoming and allowed us access to our room several hours before the normal check in time.

A truly wonderful overnight stay on the last night of our holiday. We went overboard on the meal and wines and it was worth every penny. We plan to return one day.

I have stayed at this hotel many times for it's convenient proximity to Calais and the overall experience and value for money. The hotel is in a peaceful location, the staff are always welcoming, the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the food is good. I certainly recommend this hotel.

Friendly staff who also do everything to make the stay possible for someone in a wheelchair. Good food at a reasonable price. But the castle is faded glory and has many small defects such as defective lighting, balcony door that does not open. A makeover would do wonders.

Charming hotel in a small, quiet village. Not especially impressive externally, but the welcome, quality of food and attention was exceptional and professional. Room was ok, functional rather than luxurious. But the most important aspect was the friendliness and attention by the team. Dinner was superb - staying here just for dinner would be worth it. Breakfast was also exceptional - I could see the attention to detail in the quality of the produce.
Minor negative - the bathroom rubbish bin still contained the previous client's waste.

Everything was perfect, 2 seconds from the exit of the expressway. Welcome, meals, comfort, cleanliness, calm, breakfast. I would definitely come back personally.

Quiet location but a great atmosphere in this stylish hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The dining room is beautiful, the food and service excellent. A good selection of wine by the half bottle as well as glass. All very good.

A few signs of wear and tear in the room (window opening not working properly, loose fittings, slightly aging room door) but a wonderful welcome, superb setting, very quiet, excellent restaurant, charming staff. In short, a very good stay overall.

Good establishment. Friendly welcome, kind and helpful staff. The room was spacious and the bedding comfortable. The breakfast is complete. The restaurant is remarkable, the cuisine delicious.

We've stayed here several times on our way back to the ferry terminal. The building is very grand, though some rooms may need a little updating. However, we were in room 3, which large with a separate small relaxation area with a huge and comfortable bed. The food in the restaurant is always exceptional and the staff are great. We travel with our two dogs who are also welcomed in the rooms and restaurant. With large grounds, there is plenty of space for them to be exercised. We will be staying again when returning from our next holiday to France.

Nice welcome, friendly

Amazing dining experience, beautiful cuisine and presentation for the menu at 40 Euros. Fresh products cooked to perfection , a real pleasure to be there .Great wine list and friendly service. My friends had been recommending the hotel for the dinners.
But the accommodation was not up to standard- a very noisy bed above a loud boiler? or machine, all night buzzing noise , we could not sleep at all. The room is in need of modernization too, bad pillows, paper cups only, super basic toilet products. And cold at night, with only thin duvet and tired bath towels.
The lobby had a wood burner, but it was very cold when we had tea, then an aperitif there .
The decor is from an other era and in need of cleaning and modernising.

A very pleasant stay in a beautiful house. Our dinner was really excellent, particularly the scallops in a citrus sauce. Absolutely delicious. Lots of English guests and very convenient for the tunnel or Calais ferries.

A stay at Chateau de Tourelles is always a friendly and enjoyable experience

We spent two relaxing nights. Dinner was perfect and worth its money, breakfast was nice and fresh. We had choosen very good wines from the winecard. The room was not oversized, the bathroom rather small but most important perfectly cleaned. Enough parkingspace for our car and it was very quiet in the hotel. The hotel is located perfectly to visit by car the 2 Caps, Boulogne, Calais, warmuseums, Le Touquet and even Le Crotoy at the bay of the Somme. Just driving away from the bigger ways, exploring the little roads from village to village and enjoying the splendid views. We enjoyed our short break very much thanks our stay at Les Tourelles.

We have stayed here before and it is still overall excellent. We would have preferred a shower to a bath however that did not spoil the experience.
The food is still excellent and the staff are all excellent. Easy disability access and lift available large enough for a wheelchair.
Great place to stay if using the Channel Tunnel.

We just stayed one night, perfect welcome, pleasant staff, decent room, ok meal, ok value for money, just our room had a bathtub without a curtain so it was a bit complicated to take a shower.

Our second overnight stay here this year and even better than the first. The room was very comfortable and it was lovely after arriving to sit out on our balcony in the sunshine! The evening meal in the restaurant was excellent. Each course delicious and so well cooked and presented. Breakfast also was good. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Hotel looks and feels tired and shabby. The double bed was one of the smallest I’ve slept in. The room had mould behind the entrance door and in the shower room. On the positive, the room was spacious and had two comfortable chairs. The shower was excellent. The 40 euro set meal was good but there were a number of issues. The main course steak was unevenly cooked and it was not given enough rest time - blood had seeped into the sauce, and the tarte tatin, while nice was too plain for a meal of this price.

This is a lovely location with great restaurant, food and terrace. The grounds are beautiful. Our room at the furthest point on the second floor was comfortable, but it was in need of an update in terms of decor and there were no toiletries in the room, so I would say that element was slightly over priced, but we didn’t come just for the room. It was a good stopover for those travelling with dogs before taking the tunnel.

Very warm welcome, the staff is available and attentive. We took advantage of the restaurant and we really appreciated it as well as for breakfast. The hotel has kept the charm of a mansion. We highly recommend this hotel logis.

We stayed here on our way home. The building is impressive and the surroundings quiet. We had booked a double room and a single for our grown son who was travelling by motorcycle. Our double room was sumptuous, with a separate area containing sofas. Bed was comfy too. Our son's room was perfect too. We sat on the terrace for dinner that night and the food was excellent. We had chosen the 39 euro menu, a tad expensive, but what we had was beautifully presented and very tasty. Although we didn't see the interior of the whole building, the public rooms we did see were fabulous and very much in the style expected of such a magnificent building. Our only grumble was that our son, who had to depart at 6.30 am for an early ferry crossing, couldn't pay for his room as the reception didn't open until 8.00 am. When people are travelling back to the UK and have early travel with the ferry or tunnel, it would help if reception opened earlier. If this isn't possible, then perhaps the hotel ought to suggest that those wishing to leave before 8.00 pm could pay the previous evening, ensuring that breakfast has been booked in advance on the booking form or the previous evening so that payment is accurate. It was very unusual not to have a printed, itemised invoice when payment is made. Ours was handwritten. It must take ages if all are produced this way and people are waiting to check out. However, these grumbles are small and there is no doubt that we will stay again.

Hotel for a short stay, old-fashioned decor but clean. Breakfast not great.

We particularly appreciated this establishment, great welcome from all the staff, very clean and spacious room and super very refined and very good breakfast, especially the price is very interesting compared to the beauty of the establishment, we return there with pleasure and we recommend.

The hotel is situated in a lovely old building. Interiors are rather dated but our bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. The high point for us was the food! We had a wonderful dinner!

We chose this hotel because of its close location to the channel tunnel and the restaurant. Location was perfect, parking easy and the restaurant was super . We enjoyed a lovely dinner , it finished off our holiday to perfection. The bedrooms were comfortable and clean but were in need of an update . However we would definitely stay again .

We would definitely stay again. The only reason I have given 4 stars for quality is that on our out bound stay the room was very tired but on the return stay the room was excellent. It appears to be a matter of luck which room you get. Other than that , very good.

It was the fourth time. Nice hotel, run by a hospitable family with excellent cuisine. Still the old-fashioned Logis de France feeling. The price/quality is fantastic. Lovely terrace, ample parking, well located for a visit to the Côte d'Opale.

We had been for a meal at this hotel about 8 years ago and had wanted to return to stay. It did not disappoint. Such lovely people and equally lovely food. Very good value. The weather wasn’t good but we managed one drink on the terrace. Very relaxing couple of nights in this beautiful hotel.

This is the first time we have stayed at this hotel and we will certainly be coming back to stay again. We had a very enjoyable stay, the staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. Our room was good and our dinner was excellent. Breakfast had a lot of choices.
The main road was being worked on, but the workmen moved the barriers for us, no problem.
