Very warm welcome both on the phone for the reservation and on our arrival. Hotel on a human scale. Very good restaurant; Quality dishes, very good, very fine and beautiful presentation. Possibility of parking a car with a trailer safely in the parking lot at the back of the hotel.

Very good welcome

A bit daunting arriving at a hotel to find everything locked up and looking somewhat abandoned! We did arrive very early and was aware reception opened at 17.30 but after a long drive with dogs it would have been nice to be able to relax. However, at 16.30 the hotel was opened by a very smiley friendly lady who showed us to our room. We were very pleasantly surprised by how new and modern it was. Everything about it was pristine and tasteful. We were served drinks on the terrace while the dogs were freed from their leads to wander and stretch their legs. We were informed that the dogs would be welcome to join us for our evening meal but we declined the generous offer as we wanted to enjoy one night dog free. Had a wonderful 3 course meal of smoked salmon, duck and dessert. Nothing was too much trouble for our hostess and she made our one night stay very enjoyable.

We appreciated the comfort and space of the room, the calm considering a busy road axis, the kindness of the hostess and her availability, the freshness of the setting with trees and lawn as well as the fact that animals are really welcome there. Excellent stopover in a magnificent region with tourist advice as a bonus.

A lovely family run hotel. We stayed for three nights in a very comfortable room. In addition to breakfast each day, we had a dinner on one evening and lunch on another. The quality of the food and service could not be faulted. The owner is clearly proud of her town and gave us some useful tips for visits. I don’t believe it’s in the advertising literature but the hotel has a lovely outdoor pool.

Easily accessible from the motorway. Great for an overnight stay while in transit. The owners and staff are very friendly and accommodating. Price-performance ratio absolutely fine. We had a room right by the pool. Since we arrived at 3 p.m., that was brilliant. The weather was still great, so we were able to relax at the poll with a glass of wine.

The hotel is quite messy. The room and bed were fine, but the breakfast is poor and the reception and dining room are too cluttered.
