The hotel was founded at the beginning of the 20th century by a native of Tours, hence the name "La Renaissance". Since then a number of different owners have taken the helm. The current proprietor, a passionate advocate of French cuisine, carried out a total renovation of the hotel & restaurant in 1991. Out two dining rooms can cater for between 25 and 45 guests, and in summer meals can also be taken outside on the terrace. A small shop selling regional produce was opened in 2000.
