Very good hotel located in a very quiet location. The restaurant is very good. The welcome is warm and friendly.

C’était durant la canicule donc les chambres étaient très chaudes car pas de climatisation. Sinon le lit est confortable le lieu normalement paisible et le restaurant le soir ainsi que le petit déjeuner étaient très bien.
Seul la qualité du wifi laissait à désirer (étranger n’ayant pas de forfait en France)mais pour quelqu’un qui n’en a pas besoin aucun problème.

Excellent from our arrival to our departure

An exceptional meal with efficient and attentive service on a beautiful terrace overlooking the river were the highlights of our stay at this lovely Auberge. There were even kingfishers darting across the river to entertain us!

Small charming inn located in a quiet area. Pretty terrace at the edge of the water. Convenient parking in the courtyard for hotel guests. We didn't take advantage of the restaurant in the evening because we were expected elsewhere, but the menu was tempting and deserves to be lingered over. The parking lot for the restaurant was full in the evening. On the other hand, we had breakfast, which was very rich and varied. We were the only couple with a 4 year old toddler and the breakfast was perfect for her as well. The room was very spacious, very pleasant and the bedding was of high quality. Very nice bathroom also with a walk-in shower with a very nice volume. The decoration with the charm of another time sticks completely to the place and is chosen with taste and sobriety. We had a very friendly welcome from the owners and the staff are charming. We recommend this place 100%

excellent value for money, you can have lunch or dinner at the water's edge for the evening meal: just fabulous! congratulations to the chef and his team, I had a good time, super quiet place! I had a good night. If you want to live a great experience, don't hesitate to take the detour!

Exceptionally friendly welcome and a very well run hotel. The room was immaculate and dinner and breakfast very good.

Superb stopover in this hotel on a human scale, with cozy and comfortable rooms. The dinner was delicious with local products and wines in a very cozy atmosphere. The warm contact with Mr and Mrs Lesiourd is exceptional.

Charming establishment in an environment that is just as charming. Beautiful romantic and refined decoration, modern bathroom, spacious and bright bedroom. This was our third visit: we love the place - the riverside location, excellent cuisine, beautifully planted gardens and a large and really comfortable room (think they have enlarged accommodation since our last stay. The owners (and the cat) are charming. Everything about our stay was delightful.

A really lovely hotel. Welcoming hosts who went the extra mile - even down to the chef taking time out his busy day to draw us a map and give detailed directions to the nearest garage as we were dangerously close to running out of petrol!
Fantastic restaurant and able to eat outside by the river (across the road).
It was an exceptionally hot day and the bedroom was too hot for restful sleep - a fan would have helped.

We stayed here overnight last year on an onward journey, and liked it so much that we booked two nights this year. Very comfortable, very clean and an excellent resaurant with first-class meals served by perfectly-trained young staff. The location on a quiet road along the banks of the Cher river is ideal and restful. When the weather permits, you can have your meals or at least aperitif in a delightful riverside garden that is like an updated impressionist painting.

Staying overnight gave us the time to visit the medieval city of Le Mans, which was quite a surprise for anyone that associates the name of the towh with fast cars.

Highly recommended to anyone travelling to or from Cherbourg or any of the other Channel ports north of it.
