The restaurant was very good. We asked for a room with a shower and were shown to a suite. The maximum height of the shower was about 1.2m, making it almost unusable. The sitting room was furnished like student accommodation.
We were very disappointed in the breakfasts which were not of the standard we expected from a hotel which prides itself on its food.
We will not be returning.

The restaurant and meals were excellent - we felt the bedroom and bathroom were rather basic and did not really live up to the quality of the hotel. Towels were small and of inferior quality, there was no shampoo provided - more like an "Ibis" than a high quality hotel.

Breakfast was the only disappointment. Given the exceptional meal the night before we were expecting a breakfast of a similar standard. And it wasn't, coffee very poor quality and the machine stopped working. Overall breakfast seemed a bit cheap. Which is shame because we loved everything else about the hotel and location.

Everything was perfect from start to finish. The young man (didn't get his name) who was on reception when we arrived at approx. 3pm on 02.09.19 was extremely helpful and met all of our needs with a very cheerful and friendly attitude and went out of his way to assist, in fact he added to the enjoyment of our stay. We do hope you can ascertain who he was and commend him for his wonderful customer service approach.

Von einem wunderschönen Wohlfühl-Ambiente empfangen, stilvolle Architektur, gepflegte Einrichtung und ein absolut hervorragendes Abendessen in jeder Hinsicht. Leider enttäuscht das Frühstück auf ganzer Linie: keine französische Käseauswahl, keine Crèpes, kein Omlette, kein Brötchen-Sortiment, kein continental breakfast - einfach nur teure Abzocke beim Frühstück. Das Zimmer ist sauber und ordentlich aber sehr klein geraten und ohne Minibar!. Das Spa enttäuscht, da es keine Sauna gibt und bereits um 19 Uhr schließt.

Entäuschend war für uns noch die Badequalität vom See. Bei Temperaturen von über 30 Grad kein einiger Badegast und das Ufer war voller Bewuchs.

This was the least good value Logis we have experienced. The room was small - difficult to get out of bed on one side and the shower would be a tight fit for anyone larger than slim. Instead of a kettle with a variety of teas/coffee bags and some cups as one might expect at that price, there was a complicated machine with three capsules and two small cardboard cups. It was very expensive compared to other places we have stayed in the last week, with no justification for the additional expenditure. We were shown where to find the wifi code and we signed in but it didn't work, though this didn't really matter as there was 4G. Breakfast was pricey but excellent, including locally grown and homemade elements.

We had visited this hotel before, a few years ago, and were absolutely thrilled with the evening meal.
On this visit although the service was good it was incredibly slow and several times we had our empty plates in front of us for over 25 minutes. I felt this was too long between courses. We didn’t finish our meal until 10 o’clock so was a little late for us from a 7 30 start!

Outstanding restaurant and very good service. Breakfast excellent buffet with lots of local produce and in house items including smoked salmon and various preserves. I thought the package online including two evening meals and two breakfasts was reasonable value. It isn’t clear which menu you get as part of the package but it turned out to be a 3 course menu with two choices for each course and was delicious.The wine list is pricey!
We would certainly consider returning.

This is a really lovely place to stay and would recommend it with out hesitation. However we did feel that the dinner and wine menus were pricey although of excellent quality. For us the breakfast was disappointing as the amount and choice of fruit was limited. My husband would have liked a hot buffet. But all in all we enjoyed our overnight stop en route home.

- le SPA évidemment très agréable surtout par mauvais temps

This is a superb hotel; we stayed out of season and the hotel staff treated us in exactly the same way as if it was mid-season (they lit the fire even though the restaurant was not busy, the provided a full bread basket etc). Excellent from start to end.

We have visited most years in the last 20. Over the years the property has been upgraded and is now of a very high standard. Dinner and Breakfast are of an exceptional standard and this has been the case for many years and the main reason for our regular visits on route between th UK and south of France.

Offer a choice of courses on the cheaper (49.50 euro) menu. We are sure there was last time and included cheese. I had to pay 10 euro more for cheese. For half board make clear what the menu is and offer guests chance to upgrade. When the waiter heard we were half board he took the full menus away and came back with the one sheet. Surely an opportunity for the hotel to upsell and also make guests on half board feel less like poor relation. Menu does not seem to change from previous visits -time for a refresh?

I really feel that the rooms need updating and reconfiguring. See my comments about the bathroom shower arrangement.
The room we stayed in was small and the decor reminded me of a hotel I stayed in back in 1985.....

The stay overall for one night cost €375 - we felt the €250 would have been fairer, but still at the high end.

The restaurant food was excellent but the only set menu was €50 without wine and only one choice per course. A 3 course meal a la carte would have cost MORE than the meal we had 2 weeks before in a Michelin starred restaurant!

Pricing is, of course, at the discretion of the proprietor, but the price/value rapport here means that we will not be booking again.

- Breakfast at 7:30 or maybe even 7:00 would be convenient for those who want to make the most of the day.- The number of choices available in terms of SPA's / treatments is somewhat overwhelming. Too many choices, slightly less would make it easier.

The service in the restaurant was a bit pushy. It would be nice if there were wine by glass and mayby recommended to the food. Some ingreadience could be a bit better for the price or more. The room didn't match the restaurant and it's never pleasant to climb a lot of stairs with luggage.
In warm day it would be nice with a cold drink when you arrive (cold water) and coffe in the lounge. All other hotells we visited this vacation had a kettle and nescafé on the room and one bottle of water for each guest.

The hotel is enroute for us travelling from the ~UK ~ it is far too expensive and the menu exorbitant including the breakfast. This was very sad for my party for whom I had recommended this hotel. We managed to find a very good restaurant nearby and enjoyed a delicious meal at half the price of Auberge du Lac. I am very sad that this has happened, more attention is being paid to the Spa rather thsn the hotel.
