On the way to Saint Régis, an itinerant hike, we were very well received. We tasted the restaurant's specialties at dinner and the breakfast was excellent...
We were unhappy to find that the only food on offer at dinnertime was Mexican, this was not mentioned in the Logis book.

A good hotel restaurant, very friendly welcome, most satisfying stay on the way to St-Régis.
Very kind and gracious hosts. The owners have traveled all over the world and landed a few months ago in this beautiful village of St Julien Chapteuil. I spent a pleasant night and I slept with the window open! Awakened by the crowing of the rooster! a real luxury in 2023 ;-)

Very good stopover hotel, very friendly and very welcoming owners. Regarding the room - completely consistent with what is described - the sheets are nice but hold a little warm oddly. Very good breakfast, fresh bread. An espresso would have been nice, but that's a detail.

room good, bedding a little sloping catering off topic: you don't necessarily come to Auvergne to have all the Mexican menu proposals
Positive: the location, the restaurant which is really excellent, the size of the room Negative: price much too high for a room with a lot of imperfections (shower faucet leaking, hot water arriving in 5 'of water waste , uninsulated window and no sound insulation). Problems for a “sustainable development” hotel: an Amazon parrot alone in a small cage in the middle of the breakfast room when you arrive (extremely sociable species) and waste of water from the shower. And above all a scam on the breakfast at 13 euros: a few pastries, a yogurt, an industrial fruit juice, a very diluted American coffee offered without the possibility of refilling. And the boss who gets mad at check out when I just point out this insane price of breakfast without even asking for a refund (he offered it himself during his crisis). Very unrecommended place.

We were coming to see our children and spent a night in this charming hotel! The reception is perfect. Mr Godfroy is very accommodating! The bedding is really perfect (we are very attached to it!): we slept really well! 👌 Thank you! We will come back ! 😉

Very warm welcome, for the evening stopover we were transported to Mexico, a good time in the company of our hosts
No heating in the bathroom, the room had not been heated for some time, the heating had been turned on when I arrived, so it was freezing, I had to ask for a back-up heater, I was lent an oil-bath radiator, which took a very long time to heat up, resulting in the room not being warmed up until the next morning upon departure. Same thing at dinner downstairs at the reception during which we were very cold, we were two colleagues, two rooms (4 and 8), same observation from my colleague who slept fully clothed. In addition the pressure at the shower head was very low, difficult to rinse off in these conditions. All this for a price of 97 € per room, which is taking into account all this, from the provision of the room to the basic comfort and the decoration, to say the least "vintage", very very excessive. The IBIS hotels in Le Puy town center offer vastly superior comfort and services for a lower price. I will never book this hotel again.
Pleasantly surprised by the cuisine offered. Ignoring traditional Mexican dishes, the manager gives explanations that make you want to explore this cuisine. I recommend this establishment which is well worth a detour.

The mattress of the bed was very very uncomfortable: it was much too soft suddenly I felt the wooden slats of the bed base. I had to put the mattress on the floor during the night so that I no longer felt the bed base. very difficult night

The owners of the hotel are charming, available and accommodating in all circumstances. The cleaning is impeccable and the bedding is good. In addition, the hotel restaurant "Las Margaritas" offers excellent Mexican cuisine. The only downside: the hotel is very noisy due to creaky floors and too thin partition walls...
The diner was good. However we made the reservation for a room for 2 people through the Logis website. Upon arrival we were told that we had reserved a demi-pension and not just a room. We received an email from Logis a few days orior to arrival indicating that we had reserved a room for 82 euros. The owner said we had reserved a demi-pension and couldn't change it, even though we showed him the email from Logis. He finally agreed to change our reservation to a room only, but said he didn't have any more rooms at the 82 euro rate and charged us 89 euros for the room. This situation was very frustrating.

El hotel además tiene un restaurant de comida mexicana que vale la pena probar. El almuerzo tiene un precio muy conveniente y es una maravilla ¡súper recommended! El único detalle a tener en cuenta es que la cocina del hotel (and in general del lugar) cierra a las 20.30.

This hotel has an old-fashioned decoration, the rooms are correct but not air-conditioned with limited comfort. The breakfast is very very expensive, it's almost theft. 13 euros per person for a very limited choice (dry bread, mini industrial pastries in very small quantities, the filter coffee is not good…) The best part of this hotel is the welcome, the managers are fortunately very friendly.
