Werden in het Nederlands verwelkomd door de gastvrouw in dit geschiedkundig gebouw, met prachtige tuin, gelegen te Frans-Vlaanderen. Bijzonder behulpzame medewerkers. Lekkere maaltijden met een eigen "touch" zowel tijdens het ontbijt als het avondmaal. Fijn uitgezochte champagne en wijnen. Ook aanwezigheid van locals hetwelk een bevestiging is van de lekkere gerechten. Zeer rustig gelegen.

It was our 4th or 5th visit to Hotel Saint Louis and we look forward to returning again. Everything about this hotel, food and service is extremely good. Our thanks to all the staff and hope to see you again sometime soon.

Sadly the actuality does not really match up to the publicity. The access to the rooms is through a small, plain door in to a narrow passage leading to stairs with dangerously steep stairs. Our room was one of the larger ones, with 2 rooms, one strangely with a table and 4 chairs, the other with a comfortable bed, but no headboard, no wall lights and no chairs. So there was nowhere to sit comfortably. The result was a lack of warmth and comfort.
Unfortunately this is the same throughout the hotel , where the quality of the decor and ambiance just does not quite work. It is a pity that a little more money has not been spent.

We have stayed at this Hotel on a couple of occasions, prior to covid, but this is a first visit since 2019. We found the welcome as warm and friendly as before and the food, if at all possible, even better. We were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary and hope to return in April 2024 to celebrate a family birthday. Cannot recommend Hostellerie Saint Louis highly enough and are already looking forward to our return visit.

Clean and comfortable with excellent restaurant. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. An impressive old building so some creaky floors and narrow stairs but there was a lift. Plenty of parking, lovely gardens.

the staff was very welcoming and understanding, knowing that we arrived with a small reformed breeding dog that we did not yet know (which was not planned). They gave us a room on the ground floor, with quick access to the outside, which allowed us to go out quickly if necessary with the dog. Thanks again to the staff.

Friendly reception. Extremely friendly owner with perfect knowledge of Dutch and extensive knowledge of the region. Decor a bit dated but charming and very neat. Kitchen is tasty but rather on the light side. Limited choice.

Beautiful welcome

We enjoyed a fabulous nights stay at this independent hotel.
A warm welcome from the owner, with lots of personal touches though the decor.
The evening dinner was the highlight and a memorable finale night to our week in France.

Amazing staff, beautiful setting. Good in restaurant was by far the best meal we had eaten during our 5 weeks travelling through France, we will return.
I was travelling with my elderly parents and the disabled facilities are excellent.

We had previously stayed here on 3 or 4 occasions, but only for a night on the way home to the UK from a holiday elsewhere on the Continent. We decided we would like to explore the surrounding area in more detail so booked 4 nights this time. The hotel is very comfortable and staff are very friendly. Its restaurant is excellent. The only thing that lets it down (but only very slightly) in comparison with similar hotels is the quality and variety of its breakfast offering.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay . We were made to feel very welcome and the service was much appreciated . The gardens are lovely and the little town a delight

A really lovely hotel. The staff made us and the dogs feel welcome from the moment we checked in. Ideal room with outside access so I could walk the dogs with out disturbing anyone. the evening meal was delicious and excellent value. I am coeliac and they made every effort to provide gluten free options without any fuss quite the best consideration I've had in many years of staying in France.. we had an early start to drive to the Eurotunnel just,35minutes away, and staff were ready and smiling to give us a lovely breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to anyone both as an over night stop or to stay longer to explore the area

Excellent hospitality worthy of a VIP. The service is excellent, the meal was excellent and refined, good breakfast, clean and spacious room well equipped. I recommend not only for the value for money which many chains or other 4 stars should be inspired by.

As usual we had an excellent stay. The room was spacious and very well equipped and the bed comfortable. The food as usual was excellent.

A warm and friendly welcome from Béa and her team. The hotel is charming, full of history... The rooms are comfortable, well-equipped, with an old-fashioned decoration which may or may not appeal to you, but which reflects the history of this beautiful building. The restaurant is of exceptional quality, the dishes are of high quality, with a presentation worthy of some great restaurants. And the whole team works with a smile, takes great care and makes us have a wonderful time! See you next year if all goes well.

I have been staying at this hotel 2/3 times a year for the past 20 years. I always make it my first and last stops in France because of the people and quality and the proximity to Dunkirk port.

Rooms clean and comfortable, a tiny bit dated but then it's an old building and we love it. The restaurant is truly exceptional. It's always special to visit and we will again.

We have stayed many times, and have always loved our stay.

This was our fourth stay at Hostellerie St Louis. Although it has been about ten years since our last visit the welcome, accommodation and food is just as good as our first visit. It’s nice to be able to rely on the quality remaining the same over all these years.

We often go back and forth from GB to France and always try to spend a night at the Hostellerie Saint Louis, both on the way there and on the way back.

We have stayed at this hotel several times before and we have never been disappointed. You always get a warm welcome. The rooms are well appointed, spotlessly clean and warm. The food is superb as is the service. Breakfast very good value. It's in an excellent location for the Channel Ports and the Tunnel. Very quiet and loads of parking.
We are happy to recommend this hotel to anyone.

A delightful place to stay - welcoming, and the food is absolutely delicious!

A favourite hotel for our first night in France. There is always a warm welcome and the food quality and choice is great, typical Logis gourmand menu. Super little village to walk around too, with a convenient Super-U just up the road for buying snacks from the onward journey.

Hostellerie St Louis is sensational. We have made multiple visits and keep returning because the food in the restaurant is exceptional - last night's fish medley with butter sauce was one of the best things I've ever eaten - and Bea is such a wonderful host.

We are made to feel very welcomed, the food (including the veggie option) is excellent, and if we need to leave very early in the am, this is accommodated. Have recommended to several friends and family.

The hotel was very nice in a quiet location, food to die for and the staff were very helpful. Hotel inside could do with a little TLC but nothing major.

Despite a decoration from another age, the services are of high quality. Open to all budgets, you will find a warm welcome.

The best food we have ever had in a Logis, or for that matter in any restaurant. It was outstanding in terms of the quality of the cuisine and the extent to which the hotel made a special effort to cater for my wife, who is a coeliac.

Probably the friendliest hotel we've ever stayed in. Lovely staff and the owner is the nicest person you could hope to meet - nothing was too much trouble for her.

A last-minute find, and a good one. Easy to find, excellent accommodation, excellent food, very good service.
The only fly in the ointment was the depreesing canned "music" in the dining room.
The only subsequent problem is the torrent of flea-mails :(

This was our third or fourth stay at this hotel, always when travelling back from a holiday further south in France or in Italy. It is in a good location for an overnight stop before taking the ferry/tunnel the following day. although we would also consider it for a short break. The rooms are clean and comfortable, if slightly old-fashioned, but what has always stood out is the quality of the dinners and the service provided.

We stayed for one night. We had a warm welcome on arrival. Bea had taken the trouble to email me asking if we wanted to book in for our evening meal. The food was wonderful and excellent value. I would highly recommend.

Very nice large room. The park is beautiful. Only one problem for breakfast, you have to ask all the time, the croissant was not fresh.
