very beautiful place just opposite the Fontevraud Abbey, ideal for a visit. The hotel is very good, quiet and clean. The restaurant: we ate very well there. I would like to add an additional motion on the professionalism, kindness and benevolence of the staff and management when my partner felt unwell at the restaurant having to call for help and a passage through the emergency room of the Saumur hospital, more than afraid only of harm. Very nice welcome and helpful; staff with a good meal at the restaurant, outside on a lovely warm evening..Good parking for our motorcycle. Excellent town centre location. A good stopover, would like to have stayed longer to explore.
A return to this hotel after a few years. Last visit I was very impressed on return I was disappointed.

Very good hotel. The restaurant and the breakfast are tasty. We enjoyed the swimming pool in these hot weather. The staff is very pleasant and helpful ...... except the manager of the dinner time slots! We had booked several days in advance a dinner at 8:00 p.m., then finally it was 8:30 p.m.!! All this, it seems, because of the delay of customers who came later than expected. Strange to penalize customers who respect the schedules! All this in a not very pleasant tone, no doubt she is sensitive to high heat ...... We will still be happy to come back to this establishment.

Beautiful looking hotel in lovely location but let down by poor service and disappointing evening menu. The breakfast was the worst part of our experience. It was exceedingly poor with very limited choice - definitely not worth 16 euros. We felt the hotel was living on its location .

Perfect... The bedding is very comfortable, a really valuable point after a day of activity in the vineyards, the castles and, of course, the discovery of the Abbey of Fontevraud, an exceptional place. Just cross the square to get there.

Restaurant menu was very very limited, Moules+Frites (Yes!!, it was that sort of menu) was a massive bowl of the smallest moules I have ever encountered in many trips to France> There was no air con in the bedroom.

Great stop for stop over. Went round abbey which had light show at around 10.30 pm, a real treat. Village is very quaint. Only issue was it was very hot and no air conditioner, the fan provided was out of ark.

Everything of a high level. 2 downsides, no air conditioning and due to a shortage of staff a gap of 2 hours in which no consumption can even be obtained before the first evening rush hour of 7.30 pm. That you have to book for every meal due to the same problem should be communicated to the guests. A top performer in the region.
We were received very friendly and received an extensive information package about the region. Our room was very clean, with comfortable beds. The breakfast was very extensive with a glass of Saumur for lovers. Our daughter missed a jar of chocolate.
From start to finish we enjoyed our stay here. It's a very beautiful old building, with some steep and winding stairs which simply adds to the interest for us. Willing help is available should you need it. Everything works as it should and nothing is too much trouble for the ever smiling and pleasant staff. It's very calm and quiet here except for he sound of swallows, swifts and the odd pigeon.

Very positive. The location of the hotel is superb with access to the abbey, museum and exhibitions. Overall service was good. We were a bit disappointed that the table d'hote choices did not change over the weekend. . So we had lunch out on the second day (Sunday) rather than the same 'regional' menu. Eating outside facing onto the square was lovely.
The room was adequate for size. If returning which we might I would prefer a larger room.

We were delighted to find soy milk and gluten-free bread following our request at breakfast. The buffet was really varied. Small suggestion for the pool, towel rental. I arrived at 2:00 p.m. and put my things in the luggage room while waiting for check-in time, and went to visit the Royal Abbey with the Claude Monet exhibition. I found the decoration of the room very charming, the amenities were complete. Small flat for the air conditioning but the team had provided fans without even any request from us.
Hotel very well placed in relation to the abbey and the heart of the village. Calm and flowery. Restaurant closed; so we dined at La Licorne which had been recommended to us by the hotel. Alright.
