Un hôtel très bien placé. Notre chambre était propre, mais décoration à refaire ultérieurement pour être au goût du jour.

Not really a hotel, no bar or restaurant. Check in was good and friendly. We were shown a room with twin beds we expected a double. The room did not have any bedside lights. I stumbled in the night when I had to get up. The floor was freezing cold no rugs. The bed had a dip in the middle which felt odd. Lots of fluff under the beds. Only one dining chair to sit on. Breakfast was very poor for the price. No white bread. No toasting bread. Nothing hot, it was freezing 3 degrees in Chinon. Eating breakfast out would have been a better choice.

This hotel was excellent - great location and the staff were excellent. Very close to the old town and restaurants. Rooms very comfortable and air conditioner a big bonus. Great value for money

Does not correspond to a 3 star
No negatives at all except they still use a very "outdated / old and worn out" system for issuing 'Username and Password" for WiFi or simply the Thermal Printout Machine is rubbish. Resolve this simple technical matter. When connected the WiFi is good in the Hotel. Other guests experienced difficlties - it is a frequent issue - Sort it Out! I have been to this hotel quite a few times over the last 25 years.

I had a medical problem with a foot during my stay. The hotel could not have done more to support me. They did their best to get me medical attention.I was moved from my original room to the first-class room for the disabled. I was given a wheelchair and the staff refused to let me walk until I had seen a doctor. My lunch on the day of the problem was brought in for me from the restaurant next door and checks on me and my needs were regularly made. Finally they got me an appointment to see a doctor at 6pm. I was wheeled to my appointment and back by the hotel owner. (My eventual failure to see a doctor was due to the fact that the medical centre was evacuated because the house next door caught fire!) So the care from the hotel was first class.
I reserved two rooms for our stay. One room had ample room and a large bed, the other room was VERY small - we had to turn sideways to get around the bed - and the bed was not large.My husband and I took turns in the room to get showered and dressed for the day so we would have room to maneuver. I payed equal amounts for these rooms.
Room not at all consistent with what was presented
Martine, Fabienne, and all the staff were such lovely, kind, helpful people. The hotel and garden and breakfast room is very charming. The rooms are dated and the lighting is not great. The bathroom was bright. Everything seemed clean. The blanket could use a wash. The breakfast was very good. They have bikes, which we rode through the village and to the wine cave. The location is perfect, accessible to the castle and local restaurants. We were in chinon area for a wedding abd very happy we stayed at this hotel. We would definitely stay there again. Great hotel in a brilliant location
We were not aware that there was a restaurant on site , as implied by the questionnaire, aor of the extent to which amenities eg grounds and swimming pool were available to us. This did not detract from the overall experience for an overnight stay.
Beautiful building and location, gorgeous room (we were upgraded to a suite at no extra charge), friendly helpful staff and a good breakfast buffet
Very disappointed that when we arrived the room had not been made and looked dull; on the other hand the change of room was quick and the room seemed more pleasant. However, the tub was not very clean and there was only one tissue left in the dispenser.
Very good small hotel close to the centre of Chinon with free public parking just outside the hotel. We had one of the garden rooms which had a very large shower room and a sitting area and tables outside.The room was well kited out with a very large TV and fridge and tea and coffee and kettle etc. The hotel recommended 4 restaurants which were very good !
The only bad thing was an uncomfortable mattress and a duvet with no cover. Other wise 10/10
