Hotel conforms to the description and well maintained. Good welcome. Helpful staff. Quality restaurant.
The room was extremely small. luckily we were both rather small persons (1.55 and 1.65 m). the toilet was so small that someone a bit taller or a bit overweight would have no chance to get in and close the door. Even getting into the room was challenging as the door is very heavy and the hallway very narrow. We booked the hotel because of the restaurant but were not able to get a table on any evening, since we didn't book half-pension upfront. we could also not add it anymore upon arrival. quite disappointing. so no help finding an alternative. the manager was nice, helping us with renting bicycles, which were available at the hotel. This is the main reason. why the overall rating was still ok

This efficiently run and immaculately kept hotel has a wonderful situation at the edge of the forest just outside the pretty town of Ars en Ré. It is possible to hire bikes and cycle directly from the hotel onto the many cycle paths. Some rooms have terraces opening directly onto the flowery garden, and there is a swimming pool with sun beds. The restaurant serves food of excellent quality; fresh, imaginative and beautifully cooked. The choice is not large but the menu changes each day, and the fresh local seafood plays an important part. Very good value for money in an expensive area, and perfect for younger children.

Friendly and welcoming hotel with a refined and relaxing decoration, away from the "crowds" and in which you feel good; Perhaps because it was the last weekend before the end of season closing, we would dare to say that the evening menus, for the price, were not up to par with the hotel service, breakfast included ; there was fatigue in the air, so we forgive.
Excellent value for money, very friendly. Beds very comfortable, location for the nature reserve excellent and easy to hire bikes.

hotel if we can say since they are small independent accommodation with terrace on top garden outside the city, reservation on booking the day before and in the evening the manager contacts us to warn us that on the two nights only one is in fact not available the first night the second, in short not serious, the next day he contacts us again to know if we have babysitting the second night and if we have a solution for the first night to which we respond that not yet very helpful and accommodating he warns us that he has one available but with electrical problems in the room (no power) and that he did not want to rent it for this reason, we tell him that it does not matter, we will do without electricity and we reserve, he rents us the bikes on site and we take advantage of the swimming pool also very pleasant. the next day they told him not to change our room that without the sockets it's going to be able to recharge the laptop we just ask him to put our ice packs in the freezer which he accepts very helpfully, he doesn't want to and entrusts us the key to the 2nd bedroom to change our belongings, in the evening we decide not to change (avoid cleaning, washing towels and sheets for nothing), we leave and the manager hands us the bill, I would have waited for a gesture from him, seeing that the first night we did not have a socket, it was not a pity that would have been appreciated. apart from this small point very appreciated stay on the island of Ré

Well-balanced and quality half-board service without redundancy for an eight-night stay. Excellent value. Good advice on the region and availability of bikes at the hotel at a reasonable price.
